Heartwarming. Life-changing. Happy ending. Yes, to all three. Kudos to the rescuers for taking the time to check rather than leave that darling little animal dangling. Thanks for sharing this story with us.

heartbreaking....and tears are falling. I cannot imagine the pain this poor animal had to endure. Leghold traps are the most barbaric things and should be banned. Hopefully they got to her in time to save her leg.

Thanks to Anja, Dave and Brett for doing something so wonderfully kind. Steel traps are the lowest of the low, and should have gone the way of the dodo LONG ago, when the United States were created, and animal fur was no longer needed for insulation against the frontier, and meat no longer needed to be foraged for. Banning them is long overdue! Thanks Cher for the share!

Traps are cruel and inhumane and should be banned everywhere. Glad they rescued the Pine Martin.

True hero's. I hope the Pine Marten willl be OK. We need to ban all traps. If i'd ever come across one, I'd destroy it.

Living in a country where trapping is still a regular occurrence, especially in the north, I know of the horrors of leg-hold traps. They are ugly things even when an animal is not caught in them. Many of the animals caught go unwanted and are called 'trash' by hunters. The suffering in these traps is immense. I wish trapping was completely banned.

NOTED & SHARED !
I DON'T UNDERSTAND, HOW THESE TRAPS, OR ANY TRAPS/SNARES, ARE NOT
IN THE CATEGORY, OF BEING BLATANTLY, DISGUSTINGLY, CRUEL & INHUMANE !!!

THIS WAS WELL WRITTEN & IT GAVE US AN INSIGHT, INTO THE POOR, DOOMED
ANIMALS, WHO HAVE THE MISFORTUNE, TO GET CAUGHT IN THESE TORTUROUS,
MAN-MADE DEVICES !!!

OH & TO ALL THOSE TRAPPERS, WHO CLAIM IT'S THEIR WAY OF LIFE, STOP BEING
SUCH A BARBARIC MONSTER & GET A DIFFERENT JOB !!!

BAD EYES= BIG TYPE, SORI.

Don't understand humans. How can we do such things. It would be good to trap the trapper in one of the instruments of torture.
