United employees were seen kicking her greyhound's crate to move it around, and her pets sat outside in 94F weather for over 45 minutes during a stop in Houston. Petsafe promises to limit pets' exposure to over 85F temperatures to 45 minutes or less.

When the owner reunited with her greyhound, her crate and bedding were filled with blood, and she was urinating and defecating blood from the effects of heat stroke. Pay up United. That poor dog was in your care and it was YOUR responsibility to ensure her safety. Shame on you.

If a company makes a mistake then they should own up to it and fully compensate the injured party, difficult when it is a dog but the principle still applies. If this wasn't a mistake, it was an act of cruelty, then the company involved deserves all the bad publicity that can be lavished upon them!

Signed/ Of course the airline should pay. My husband and I were just talking about airlines and have decided that I would rather drive than risk Zoe's life. I just couldn't stuff her in the bottom of a plane. I'd freak out and I know that she would.

I wouldn't want to out my dogs on a plane. I did so in the past and it mostly went well but I do not think I would do it again. Sometimes it is necessary and airlines must be responsible. to only do the animals deserve the respect of the airlines but they are paying customers or at least their people are.

People travelers are no more important than Pet travelers and visa versa. Clean up your act on transporting pets or don't transport them. The employees should be taught to treat pets properly. There is no excuse for animal abuse on the planes or tarmacs. Maybe we should treat the employees that way and see if they like it.

United needs to clean up their act, pay the vet bills. They will now be paying more in lost customers since this news is out!
I'd have them crate my Buick before I let them crate my pets!

Noted and signed absolutely. What bothers me, is before they agreed to pay the vet bills, they did not want any information to get out, and they are wrong, as pet owners have the right to know if an Airline has a good reputation for handling pets.
Thank You Cher.

***I do not believe in EVER traveling with your animals unless they are right there with you!!!. DO NOT DO IT!!!! I watched twice with others while they loaded the animals like pieces of luggage. They threw them ,tossed this and yes even kicked them. I was not traveling with animals.I would NEVER EVR do that even before i saw this myself. I dropped 2 people off at the asirport who were moving FAR with their animals. They were abused immediately!!! I was told as they waited for the next plane they watched if their animals were OK and insisted checking on them because once again BY UNITED and DELTA airlines were thrown like luggage and much worse!! One died...

They NEED TO PAY !! BUT I'M SORRY THE OWNERS AT ARE PART FAULT HERE. YOU DO NOT TRAVEL WITH YOUR ANIMALS UNLESS THEY ARE WITH YOU!! I absolutely blame the owners and in this case even more so the airlines. They were way out of line as you can expect almost always. What they did is SICK and It's done everyday ,several times a day.
They better pay and owners also need to know they cannot travel with their pets unless right with you.

The cruelty was started when the animals owner decided to put their beloved dogs through the airline experience, caged and alone in a very unfamiliar situation - its not what you do to your best friends .
