I hope the sanctuary is successful. I wonder if that is 300 tigers in that area or in the whole world?

Good news.

That's where they should send the ones being held in Thailand as well. When the cubs are found and confiscated, they are sent to holding sites by the customs officers, but then they are imprisoned in small enclosures, for YEARS. Why they have not ore for them till now is beyond me.
Maybe they can send them here now??

another excellent step forward in the right direction-but better yet would be to make sure they can keep their original habitat there and end that logging for goodness sake!

I hope this sanctuary will be good for the species and protect them. I hope they will enjoy their lives there and live long healthy lives. We have to do something to save the animals. I think we need to fence in the humans and let the animals roam.

Speed is of the essence if the Sumatran tigers are to survive the current epidemic of poaching and habitat loss. I pray that the sanctuary will become available asap for the sake of the tigers. Finally a step in the right direction for Indonesia.
Thank You Cher.

Fantastic news - another step forward in protecting these beautiful creatures. Follow Save China's Tigers website too for news and great photos. WWW Oganisation can provide pretty accurate numbers of surviving tigers left in the world.
