B.C's beauty remains within the lush forestry & it's wonderful inhabitants just like these spirit bears. If they destroy these natural habitats for the greediness for the dollar sign then B.C's value will be gone for ever.

Noted and Absolutely Signed. I have been fighting for the Great Bear Rainforest for several years now. This is the home of the Spirit Bear, which is not found anywhere else in the world. First Nations Chiefs never talked about the Spirit Bear, wanting to keep it a secret because they have always been sacred to them, and they were afraid hunters would come looking for them. There are black bears, grizzly bears, sea/rain wolves, bald eagles, many other birds and a lot of marine life that depend on the salmon as there main food source. The wolves and bears leave some of the salmon in the forest, which helps in the growth of the rainforest. To have an oil pipeline through the GBR would be desasterous, because of the many islands, estuaries, and rivers running through it which are hard to navigate. Tankers going from Kitimat, trying to navigate out to the ocean, would be going through treacherous water first. An oil spill would kill the humpback whales, orcas, dolphins, sea otters, sea lions and all the other fish, plus all the birds. It would be a huge disaster, further north along the west coast was where the Exxon Valdez struck land and the ecosystem still has not recovered after all these years. I am hoping that Premier Christy Clark was making a pre-election statement when she said the pipeline would not go through, even then she placed some stipulations on Endbridge, which I was afraid that she hadn't actually given a definite NO, and she has been in talks with Alberta's Premier Allison Redford. Also the Prime Minister is trying to go all out with pipelines crossing Canada, to the US (hopefully that will not go through), and also now to the Arctic. Greed for wealth is not going to leave a legacy for our grandchildren. I stand with First Nations in their fight to stop this. They have lived in this area for centuries, it is a part of their culture and their livelihoods depend on fishing, also on the roe/salmon eggs and a lot more.
Thank you for sharing this petition Cher. Here is hoping there will be a lot of signers!!

I am so glad to see so many people signing this! We need to STOP THE MADNESS! There is no way to get back the pristine wilderness once they have had their footprints in it!
There are some things that just should not be tampered with if we are going to have ANY wilderness left for future generations!
Gladly signed and shared on any and all platforms!
