Spend even just a few minutes watching nature ~ really watching and absorbing ~ and you can't help but know that you are a part of something so precious you must commit yourself to preserving it in every way you can.

All really great thoughts. Also, our small, seemingly insignificant acts CAN make a difference. Recently there was a small bird that was hurt. I took seed down to it, and left a small cup of water, hoping that it was something that would heal. It took two days, but it finally was less dazed, didn't starve, and now taps my door whenever the feeders are empty. Maybe only one bird -- but it's ONE.
