Sweet! I have a family of squirrels that I feed daily as well. Mr. Squirrel visits daily as I give such treats as SODIUM FREE macadamia, sun, walnuts, pecans, almonds and berries. It is so SWEET watching them eat anong my birds which are numerous! The 'hummers' are numerous 365 days per year with so many varieties. I could sit on my bench and watch them all day long!

OMG! That page is going to keep me busy for the rest of the day! Laundry? Oh, who needs clean clothes anyway??
I love my lil squirrelies! Love 'em when they run up my siding, when they party on my birdfeeders, when they sneak into the barn to get in the feedbins.....
We have reds and greys. Those lil reds are fierce! They go after everyone. One day one chased Amirah around the yard until she climbed up a tree ~ not a well-thought out plan!!

Over 20 years ago, a squirrel apparantly fell down the chimney in my parents' home (he ate through the mesh). My father was woken up by a racket downstairs. Sitting on the kitchen counter, was a squirrel eating my father's doughnuts...WELL.., he chased that squirrel throughout the house, and trapped him in my old bedroom.
The squirrel was on my old bed. My father opened a window, quickly gathered my blanket, and tossed the blanket out the window. The blanket saved him.

Oh my gosh. Any picture cuter than those two babies in the tree? We have squirrels all around us because of hickory, oak and other nut trees. They're little dickens at the bird feeders, but they were here first, so live and let live. Drives the pups nuts, though LOL.

I put peanuts out for the squirrels in the winter as well as sunflower seeds for the birds and so have squirrels running around my yard a lot. I put some on the porch railing and so they eat there as well. I put a feeder out of them but since they kept taking that plastic barrier off the pigeons eat thee peanuts to. They swoop down on the porch as ell. It's a busy yard. I have a mulberry tree that they eat from in the summer. They are pretty darn cute.

Can't think of anyone who would NOT love squirrels! I too have a family around here that I watch every day! I also feed them nuts and hope one day they'll take it out of my hand. One fir tree in front of my balcony has grown so much with a large branch almost touching that I only need to reach out my arm to get close to them.
The hundreds of squirrels populating Hyde Park in London didn't take food from people but they weren't as cute either.

Squirrels are entertaining, a neighbour leaves his door open during the warm weather and leaves a big can filled with peanuts for the squirrels to take. They run inside and take a stash outside. I am not sure how many mosquitoes end up inside the home during the evening but the squirrels enjoy it.

I remember watching the Flying Squirrels that lived in our yard when I was younger as we had a ton of trees where I lived when I was young. They glided from branch to branch and were fascinating.

I know many people think of them as rats with tails, and I wish they wouldn't take all the bird food I put out, but I do find them cute and funny!

Most of my friends know me as "Squirrelygirl", so guess where I stand on (or sit by) squirrels. They are an endless source of enjoyment and entertainment on our balcony. Yay for squirrel!
