Shocking - bloody cruel bastards - this tiger should have killed more of them then there would be less on earth.

Although it's good for Shiva that he wasn't killed...being in this zoo is likely not such a great outcome either.

Thanks Cher :")

Why do you all just autmoatically ASSUME that life in a breeding program is horrible?

The tiger will have everything it seeks in the wild...food, water, safety and access to mates. Tigers are NOT social animals...he won't LONG for companionship. He'll have everything he could possibly need, including a long life.

AND...his genes will be passed on in a safe environment.

Unless YOU can personally guarantee safety for the rest of his life, I suggest you think positively and be glad for the tiger.

I don't know, he killed 3 people and that's horrible. To spend the rest of his life in a zoo as a stud, not to be taken lightly either but at least they didn't just kill him. Guess it depends on what his life is like in the zoo, his surroundings, the size of his area, etc.

He would most likely have been shot if he wasn't captured.
