" ...recognize and respect Earth’s beautiful systems of balance, between the presence of animals on land, the fish in the sea, birds in the air, mankind, water, air, and land. Most importantly there must always be awareness of the actions by people that can disturb this precious balance." ― Margaret Mead

“Wilderness is not a luxury but a necessity of the human spirit, and as vital to our lives as water and good bread. A civilization which destroys what little remains of the wild, the spare, the original, is cutting itself off from its origins and betraying the principle of civilization itself.” ― Edward Abbey

Noted and signed. It's ridiculous to disturb ANY part of a desert unnecessarily. Of all environments, the desert takes the longest to repair itself, and heaven knows there are plenty of other sites that have already been ruined where such a project could be located.

So long as this isn't sited in the National park, not sure why there is so much of a problem with this. Surely it is far better than opening the park up for mining or fracking which is poisonous to the environment. If we need power we have to have lesser evils and personally we feel solar is far better.

Better location fof Wind energy than oil &gas frackers. If more energy is needed in this area it is better to be produced by clean energy.

It's good that we're finally seeing something done about moving toward renewable energy--but I don't think this is the right place for it...

Although I do have reservations about this action. I am beginning to a pattern emerge where every single renewable energy project is opposed by one environmental group or another for some reason. Let be very clear you can not have perfection it does not exist in nature or human endeavors. Reliable and Viable Solar limits the number of locations as do Wind Turbines so sooner or later the question is going to have to be answered, "Do you want to try to save everything and lose most of it or are you going to save as much as you possible/realistically and pragmatically can?" There is no such thing as a perfect world and no solution is going to make every one happy nor will it save everything. Either tough and unpleasant decisions are made that favor the saving of as much as possible or you will throw the baby out with the bath water, cut off your noses to spite your face pick the metaphor. Remember that every time you force a change, even a small change with best of intentions, you are driving up not only the costs by 20% of more you are also adding at least a year or more delay in the beginning of actual construction which adds the amount of time of WE ARE NOT REDUCING CARBON EMISSIONS. And sooner or later more and more of your supporters are going to turn their backs on you because nothing is good enough to suit you. You are going to become the "Pie in the Sky" People searching alone in a polluted desolation because you simply refuse to say yes to anything less than perfection.
