S&N. Sadly, telling them they are monsters, while true, does not get them to listen. The culture there is very different from what most of us are used to. We must show them the respect they DO NOT GIVE. Sorry to say it but been there, have friends there and have seen first hand how things work and how to communicate with these folks. And indeed, many many of the leaders ARE monsters.

This is the kind of propaganda that makes my blood boil.

For every one Muslim killed in Africa, well over a hundred Christians have died at the hands of Muslims.

The goal of Islam is to take over the world, putting the entire globe under Islam, submitting to Islam with many ramifications. That is the message that is being preached in mosques all over the world, and it is happening more and more all over the world by all sorts of means.

Muslims are excellent at making themselves out to be the victims. If they are in this particular instance, it is only because huge numbers of Islamists and Jihadists have been slaughtering Christians right and left, and now the Christians, like the Buddhists who have suffered unspeakable crimes at the hands of Jihadiss, are finally fighting back.

Christians are THE most persecuted religion in the world, and almost all of it is by MUSLIMS.

For those new to the thread , this petition is from Amnesty International which states this on the petition:

"We've just had news from Amnesty's team on the ground in the Central African Republic (CAR) where militias are carrying out violent attacks against Muslims.

What they're seeing there is horrific.

Bodies litter the streets. Babies as young as seven months old have been slaughtered. Houses have been burned and looted. Dogs are feasting on human corpses.

In a village west of Bangui, our researchers found a little girl who has been hiding alone without any food or water since the brutal murder of the whole town, including her parents, in a massacre four days ago.

This horrific scene is illustrative of the horror that tens of thousands of Muslims are experiencing across the CAR right now. The attacks have forced tens of thousands of families to run for their lives.

Please act now. Ask the African Union to provide peacekeeping forces to stop ethnic cleansing in the Central African Republic."

And the Eritreans? Egypt/Sudan: Traffickers Who Torture
http://www.care2.com/news/member/100661215/3745111

And that poor Philippino that I have give you a link to?

It seems that almost none of you have any true compassion.

And no, not all of Amnesty's drives are worth supporting. I can feel compassion for a little girl hiding from her murderers but if you look at my avatar, that is a pair of Muslims, a mother and daughter who has acid thrown over them as the husband/father wanted to get rid of them. It is one of the most touching and beautiful pictures I have ever seen, their love for each other. And try the suffering of the many many thousands of women and children in Afghanistan. You just sign a petition and that is that. No, it isn't. Our governments are responsible for much of the suffering in Afghanistan and the weapons Obama provided for the Arab Spring have now made it to Africa and this is what the Muslims are using to kill Christians to turn the countries into Islamic states. This is what we need to be doing not signing this which is a complete waste of time and effort and agitating to stop Obama's pro-Muslim policies which are enabling and encouraging this misery. This means that his allies follow suit and I am glad that Putin disagrees because it is making them stop supporting similar atrocities in Syria.

I've never had reason to disagree with Amnesty International's findings of human rights violations and have seen what seems to be same treatment of violations whatever the identify of victims or perpetrators happens to be.

This one is a level they are calling genocide, which is their most extreme category of all human rights violations.

What a bunch of Nazi responses-

WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE IF SOMEONE IS A CHRISTIAN, OR A JEW ,OR A MUSLIM, OR A BUDDHIST, OR A HINDU, or an ATHEIST???

We are talking about MURDERING human being because of their religious belief- and anyone from the United States ought to be particularly alarmed- since the United States protects religious freedoms.

We are not at a football game, folks- routing for one team- or another. And if you think you are- step the the right and say "“Heil Hitler.”

It sure does matter, Nyack.

It's no coincidence that the Muslim Brotherhood and the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem were allies with the Nazis. The Nazis trained thousands of Muslim Brotherhood members, gave of millions of dollars, gave them war materiel, and even taught them propaganda techniques.

Most Muslim countries think Hitler was one of the greatest heroes the non-Muslim world ever produced.

The 57-Muslim nation bloc of the U.N., the OIC, or Organization for Islamic Cooperation, has the largest voting bloc in the U.N.

It is NO coincidence, that in spite of the tens of thousands of Christians who have been slaughtered by Islamists and Jihadis, NOTHING was done to protect THEM, until the Christians started to fight back. THEN suddenly the UN wants to send in "peace keepers" or specifically "Muslim protectors".

The absolute genocide of the Christians, thousands more of THEM will be slaughtered by Islamists and Jihadis, but the initiators of the violence, the Jihadi Muslims, will get their cover.

Disgusting.

I recall signing a petition awhile back from AI related to human rights violations against Christians in Egypt. Those who sign human rights petitions do so when a credible organization like AI notifies them of findings; this petition meets that standard for any who value human rights for all.

Just wondering...where is Amnesty International when it comes time to support Christians all over the world when they are murdered, maimed and persecuted by Muslim terrorists!? I don't remember seeing too many petitions sent around against the Muslims terrorists for that or from Amnesty International for that matter. Not saying there was none but the issue of this article of Christians FINALLY starting to fight back which is really sad that they feel they have to do what they did to apparently finally get the Muslims attention that they mean business and Amnesty International jumps on it like bees to honey!!! Maybe the maiming, murder and persecution of one is more important than another!?

Just curious JL...I can't think of a more credible incidence than the persecution of Christians that has been going on for a long time now. Certainly there are no news organizations that are going to make up false stories of Muslim terrorists terrorizing Christians just to get ratings would you agree!? There are plenty of credible news organizations out there IMO that report credible facts on the persecution of Christians world wide.

Furthermore, the media is quiet on the Islamic persecution of Christians, specifically in the Central African Republic. They call it "sectarian strife" when Muslim are massacring Christians. But let the Christians or the Buddhists in Thailand or the Hindus or Sikhs in India fight back against being raped and slaughtered by pious Muslims, and all of a sudden the media cries victimhood for Muslims, calling the ones who started and wantonly perpetrated the violence the victims!

Where is the media outrage over the so-called "rebels" in Syria who massacred Christian families throwing children down a well? NO MENTION!

http://www.aina.org/news/20131105194441.htm

I challenged my elected officials on their silence when it comes to Muslims murdering Christian children and women. They were speechless. And that is why we never or rarely hear of Muslim atrocities against their number one target: Christians, but also concerning Muslim atrocities against Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, etc.

Islam's role model Muhammad was an expert at playing the victim. He would attack others and then cry victim. This is why pious Muslims act that way, imitating their cowardly, terrorist "prophet." That is bad enough, but so much of the world let's them get away with it, and non-Muslims are getting killed in the process.

Rahman Qureshi (76)
Monday February 24, 2014, 8:26 pm
@ JL A. - worth repeating:

Amnesty International remains largely silent on Muslim men marrying little girls throughout the Muslim world, on non-Muslims in Muslim lands made to live as second class citizens, on the degrading and humiliating treatment pious Muslim men cast onto females, on the host of the many other human right violations rampant in the Muslim world. So much for Amnesty International being "independent of any government...or religion."

Nyack:

There is a gargantuan amount of historical information about Islamic ties to the Nazis. This is well-documented with first person accounts, photos, numerous history books and so on. (an online example is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relations_between_Nazi_Germany_and_the_Arab_world)

Again, you doggedly confuse issues. For one Hitler promoted the "Aryan race" not whites. He believed the Slavs, who are also white, were inferior to Aryans, even down to the shape of their skulls.

Hitler believed the Arab “race” was inferior, but he believed Islam as a religious and political ideology was superior, certainly to Christianity.

Two, you cannot seem to separate the concept of Islam the ideology and Arabs. A minority of people on the planet who are Muslim are Arabs. More numerous are Muslim Indonesians and Muslims of Indian stock (Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and Muslims within India).

Islam is NOT a race. It is a totalitarian, supremacist ideology with religious beliefs taken from Judaism, Christianity and the horribly warped. There are some perfectly innocuous aspects of the religious part of Islam. This “religious ritual” aspects of Islam are not the problem. It is the ideological part that is, the part that tells Muslims to take over the entire world and make everyone submit to Islam.

The translation of Islam IS submission.

Islamists and Jihadis will continue to slaughter all Christians who either do not become Dhimmis or do not convert to Islam. This is the way Islam operates.

Hmmm... it would seem that Patricia, Rahman, GM, and especially Carol are all advocating for the murder of Muslims including babies.

Indeed they are suggesting genocide is the answer.

Simple to see if you check what they post and note up here on C2... but really all we need to see is this thread. As ugly as it is, it's nice when hate-mongering people make themselves radically apparent for us.

Bernard Cronyn (31)

When the CAR was taken over by a Muslim rebel group and many massacres rapes and general mayhem took place all our bleeding hearts petitioners did nothing and kept silent as did most of the Western media. The UN and the UNHRC also did nothing and kept silent. Now there is a counter revolution with an aim to oust the rebels and chase many across the border from whence they came we have the hypocritical Islamic bias showing its ever ugly face and denying the majority their will in their own land.

Islam is the most aggressively proselyting and one of the fastest growing ideologies in the world with a membership approaching 2 billion. It has enormous oil profit funding (compared to other religions) and even appears to enjoy the support of the president of the USA. Why would it be compromised by a bit of criticism? Surely the motives for those springing constantly to the defence of Islam on CARE2 and elsewhere must either that they are staunch members of this ideology or perhaps just lack the courage to actually step up to the plate and join the religion.

I used to have a great respect for both UN and Amnesty International. However, under the influence of 57 Muslim majorities countries, both organizations have become a helper in a open and stealth jihad that Islam is staging around the world, with Islamists taking over and preventing free speech to point out the supremacist imperialistic ideology of Islam!

Amnesty International had been fooled by Muslim propaganda to gloss over atrocities committed by the Muslims, while screaming bloody murder when non-Muslims are defending themselves from their jihad spread.
perhaps it is time for the leaders of Amnesty International to read Koran and Hadith and learn the imperialistic history of the bloody Muslim conquests.

Syd, you must have a strange inability to comprehend what you read because no-one is advocating the murder of Muslims.

In fact, all of the people on this page, including Cher, seems to have a blindness on any suffering and murder of any religion unless it is Muslim. Nor do most of you understand compassion, you just trot it out and pretend that you know what it is because you sign a petition. True compassion is holding a Muslim woman, who doesn't speak a word of your language, in you arms who has just been beaten up & badly hurt by her husband, wondering how someone is going to tell her that her husband is missing with her children, has most likely left the country with them by then and what can you do to help her next. When one of you has done that then perhaps you might be on the road to understanding true compassion.

As someone who has, for years, worked on human rights world wide, I can say that most of you have your heads up your backsides and an inability to understand what is happening in the world outside of America. And yes, there is a world outside of it and most of you have no understanding of how it works. The correct word is hubris.

I think denouncing ethnic cleansing is a wonderful thing to do. My sense is, though, that genocide against Christians in Africa by Muslims has been horrific, and no one on this page seems to have cared enough to speak out against THAT. Only when the 57-Islamic country bloc puts out the word to stop the genocide when Christians are finally fighting back after the slaughter of tens of thousands of them by Muslims for YEARS, do people on this post, and Cher who posted it, I’m sure with the best of intentions, suddenly care.

It doesn’t seem to jive with the earlier statements to the effect that religion doesn’t or shouldn’t matter, because it APPEARS that it only seems to matter to when the victims are finally some Muslims.

It’s that troublesome discrepancy.

I’m also wondering about the provenance of the petition. In other words, from what group did Cher receive it.

So- if someone wants to write a petition to stop the slaughter of cats in Idaho- the appropriate way to write a petition to stop the slaughter of cats in Idaho, would be to ask to stop the slaughter of dogs, birds, wolves, reindeer, moose, and bears-

in order to stop the slaughter of cats in Idaho....that is essentially what you are saying, Patricia.

I mean, personally I am against the slaughter of ALL animals mentioned above (and more) But issues can only be tackled one at a time.

If you are so concerned about the murder of Christians, in particular- why dont you write a petition about it- rather than sitting here bitching about someone who is trying to make a change for the better by writing a petition about it?

I dont see you writing any petitions at all- just sitting back complaining about the wording which does not suit you.

So? DON'T SIGNI IT!

That's a lot of anger, Nyack, and the analogy is faulty. I am respectfully probing to find the answer to a question, not murdering anyone.

I am asking people to look into their own hearts. If we think that only Muslims bleed and speak out for them but not speak out for the Christians who have been systematically slaughtered for years, that intentionally or not, there's quite a bit of bigotry going on here, interestingly by the same people who scream BIGOT or RACIST at others when they speak out about horrible situations.

There have been a number of articles that have made the Front Page about the slaughter of Christian Africans by Muslims for at least the past three years, but I've never seen your name on them, Nyack, or your name on them, Cher, or for that matter, Carey's. So it's not as though you wouldn't have seen the article titles that made it to the Front Page. There was a decision not to note them.

There have been a number of articles that have made the Front Page about the Coptic Christians who have been kidnapped, raped, forced to undergo conversion to Islam, forced to marry Muslims, never to see their families again, have their churches burned to the grown or blown up, by members of the Muslim Brotherhood and Salafis, but nary a word or a note from angry people like Nyack. Again, nothing from the people who profess to care about the voiceless.

I hope that deep down this will be acknowledged and corrected.

I'd still like to know from what group Cher got this petition, or by whom she was alerted to it.

group??? no group just looked at petitioniste andd found it there.

I think it is really unfortunate when people have to come into someone's article and try to turn things around to suit them.

Like Nyack said if you don't want to sign then don't but please stop trying to turn this into something that it is not.

Cher, I would do that if I had some confidence that you care about the many more voiceless Christians than you do the monied Muslims with heavy-duty backing, and I haven't seen any indication that you do.

I would be pleased to know otherwise.

"monied Muslims with heavy-duty backing" ?? do you hear yourself???

I do not need to explain myself to you. I prefer to distance myself from people filled with so much hate.

I am done talking to you. Please take your hatred somewhere else.

Patricia--please go to the Amnesty International (AI) url I provided in this thread and to the country with the AI group who is addressing issues in the country you are concerned about to ask them to partner with Care2 for posting petitions (if there is a AI group in the country you have a concern about human rights abuses in, that is where you would start).

Yes. Billions of petrodollar influence, affecting the highest reaches in media, government, education and even churches. I have said nothing hateful, nor am I coming from a hateful position. That is your projection.

JL A., that is a constructive suggestion. Thanks.

This has to be one of the most ridiculous threads I have seen. Sign the petition or do not, but do not shot the messenger. For those who really are to stupid to know; AI cares not about ethnicity or religion only crimes against humanity. Where Civil Rights and Human Rights are trampled AI is there reporting, writing petitions and trying to bring peaceful results. When people are murdered en masse AI reports and contacts peaceful governments to try to end the slaughter. This smacks of people trying to celebrate their own righteous indignation at the cost of one person supporting a tragic situation. Thanks Cher

As for the lack of petitions about Nigeria - spent a few minutes online rather trying tear up others.

https://www.amnesty.org/en/appeals-for-action/stop-ethnic-cleansing

http://www.change.org/petitions/massacre-of-christians-in-nigeria-demand-that-the-state-department-condemn-the-horrific-incident (goal met petition closed)

http://www.persecution.org/2013/11/27/at-least-71-christians-killed-in-coordinated-attacks-on-christian-villages-in-nigeria/

http://www.persecution.org/2014/01/09/at-least-30-christians-killed-in-attack-on-christian-village-in-central-nigeria/

There are many petitions that are active and I think even the trolls here can look them up.

I noted and signed but for some reason my cute little photo does not appear on the list of "noters", or am I going slowly blind? Murder of any peoples of any religion is atrocious and should be condemned.

I really cannot believe that people were in here trying to justify the murder of anyone because others have been murdered.

An eye for an eye makes the whole world bling.

The reason many of us do not sign the other petitions and note the stories by the ISLAMOPHOBIA GANG here is that they are solely posted to sow hate, and are in fact using the murder of Christians, animals, etc., for that narrowly focused single-minded hateful purpose making victims again of those who have suffered.

As for massive funding? Let's take a look at the "Christian" organizations of British Petroleum which had us go in and take out the true democracy in Iran in 1953 to install the western oil-friendly puppet Shah. Or how about Texaco, Exxon, United Fruit, Chiquita, Dole, or any number of other "Christian" monied interests who have gone in and created havoc where ever people try to rule themselves such as in the Americas (North, Central & South exterminated native & indigenous for land and profits -- banana republic peeps?) and in the Gulf States they created (before they knew there was oil to abscond with). How do you really feel about "Christian" American tax dollars going to kill those in the Mid-East so these "Christian" oil companies can have bigger and more obscene profits? Haven't seen one petition or news story from the "GANG" about those issues so your glass houses are shattering from your very own stonings.

In regards to GM's ridiculous charge of insular Americans, you have no clue who you are trying to pigeon-hole. I've been traveling for the last 28 months including to many Muslim countries with even many weeks on Cyprus which GM thinks belongs to Greece (it is its own EU country belonging to no one) talking to people on both sides who were there before the split and those born after as to how it affected them; also reading books written by Island residents and watching movies made by & featuring those same residents. I am currently in another country you would classify as "Muslim" yet I find only people, who further are kind, caring, loving, curious, generous, intriguing and eager. Your dismissive statements do not hold up nor do they give strength to your hateful agenda.

Seriously, where were you when I was beaten up by my SO? You are only victimizing that woman more in your ugly use of her (again and again, over and over) to justify your pogrom against anything Muslim or Islamic.

Simple to see if people check you & your gang's news patterns. You scream that equal time is not given yet you are in here protesting this one while only posting against in your own efforts. That is the worst.

Seriously, I only need to include one member's news history because you all come in and note up each other as a planned organization making it easy for people to see what your agenda is by who is there on each story and who is posted each one.

The only time you step out of your microcosmic sub-community into where the rest of us are, is to spread your ugly message and protest what others have done for humans you would like to see eradicated from this earth.

WE ARE NOT OUR NATIONALITY, RACE, RELIGION. We all bleed red.
