I;m glad to see children are beginning to understand as young as 7. Our school promotes re-cycling, and the childen are very conscious of what trash goes where.

More and more people are waking up to the reality that our current lifestyle is not sustainable. We need to live with less, use up less, recycle and upcycle more, share more (Freecycle, BookCrossing, etc.), be satisfied with less. We need to abandon our current consumerist lifestyle and move on to post-consumerism. No more McMansions on 3 acres - a townhouse, or better, a condo apartment, is just fine!

I believe there is an awakening. After the winter many of us have had, one wonders how anyone, and most importantly our politicians, could ignore the importance of 'going green'.
