Inside a metal vault here in rural Vietnam is a creature believed to be the most trafficked mammal in the world. No sounds come from its cage. No squeaks or howls

Pangolins are such beautiful animals. Why do we have to kill everything on our planet?

I was really taken aback reading this article. I had no idea the pangplins are in such trouble. Thank you once again, SE Asia for bringing yet another another to the point of extention.

Actually I have heard of the pangolin and as always am disgusted with human civilization for the exploitation and cruelty to so many (all?) animals.

And yes, I did hear they are being exploited. What is wrong with people? What a totally messed up species we are. Whenever I hear that people are afraid of pit bulls and mice and other ridiculous fears I want to (and do) tell them to look at/listen to the news and they will see who there truly dangerous species is.

Asians are leading to the extinction of many animals. So sad.

Yes, I have heard of pangolins, and find them adorable. Like Barbara D, I know of nowhere in the world where humans are not pushing some species to the brink of extinction.

when will mankind understand that animals are not on earth for mankind's sake but for living their lives in peace ?! that mankind is destroying itself with wars, conflicts, just for money and power etc... is terrible and stupid, but I would say humans deserve it for all the horros it has committed and is still committing, but the innocent animal DO NOT DESERVE the same fate .
