I love dragonflies and the azure damselfly is absolutely beautiful....another one of natures pollinators and a beautiful gift to us all. Thank you for sharing these beauties with us.

Noted. Amazing photographs really. We usually get a large number of several species of dragonflies and sliders over the pond every summer. Love them because they keep the mosquito population down. I hope this winter hasn't caused them to disappear.

I am not sure which dragonflies we have here in AB, but they help to keep the mosquito population down, we always called them "helicopters"..

Years ago, we had a cottage along the Allegheny River, north of Emlenton and Brady's Bend in Pennsylvania. This is the only area, in which I viewed tremendous amounts of dragonflys.
