The ocean is the backbone of the temperature control system. When the ocean conveyor belt does not work properly or stop, the evenness of temperature distribution is tempered, so there will be extreme whether across the globe. Almost 3/4 of the planet is covered by the oceans, the sea plants during photosynthesis oxygenates and support so many other life forms.
