An understanding of the cultural and religious value of tigers can help conserve the animal. Beyond conservation, respecting and valuing cultural diversity creates a more equitable society and paves the way to eliminating discrimination and corruption.

This article has possibly captured the true reason for all of the frustrations with animals and environmental protections. We have lost our connection to the land and the species there, as much as we are willing to have protected parks, we do forget that forcing humans will have a black lash. Very good reading, thanks Cher.
