Grand Rapids is the home now for three rare Amur tigers. The new habitat at the zoo was created just for them and will open to the public on June 14.

They are so beautiful! I am so incredibly happy for these tigers and thankful to this zoo for doing right by them! More zoos need to follow this example, this is how it's done! Thanks for Chering, I really needed this happy news right now, it couldn't have come at a better time!

I hate to see animals in a Zoo, but if it keeps them safe, than I'm okay.

I'll be watching this a little later ~ I have no volume on Chrome (??) so I'll switch to IE when I'm done here.
Thanks, Cher ~ I'm looking forward to it!

I would prefer them to be in the wild but safe and in a zoo is better than free and dead. I hope they will enjoy their new home.

It's a shame they have to live in confinement.

Zoos may very well be the only place these magnificent animals will live on this planet. How sad.

I hate seeing animals exploited for human profit. Why couldn't these cats go to a sanctuary where the welfare of the animal is put over profit?

Amur tigers are indeed very rare. Kudos to the Zoo helping to keep these magnificent cats from becoming extinct.
