The U.S. government is stepping up its crackdown on the illegal trafficking of wild animal products across the nation's borders, saying some may be linked to terrorists, federal officials said Monday.

Thank you Cher. I cannot begin to tell you how grateful and a bit surprised that our country is finally taking proactive measures to put an end to wildlife animal/animal product trafficking, particularly the fight against poaching. This is excellent news thank you so much for sharing it!

I hope they do take very stringent measures, because OF COURSE it funds terrorism and all sorts of ugly activities in third-world countries, including the actual poaching itself. Where do you think illiterate and impoverished groups get their guns and ammo?

I wish we could save the animals before they are smuggled- but I am still glad that something is being done to deter this crime.
