The speard elephant was hard to look at - the rest were beautiful.

Both the elephant and the fish caight in the net are reminders of what we're working against. Thanks Cher.

I love capybaras!!! That poor elephant. I hope he survives. It was strange to see pier 39 empty of sealions. I have been there when they have overtaken the place! Thanks.

Beautiful pictures. Pictures with a story always make me wonder what happened next: did the speared elephant survive with the help of the vet?

Hope the elephant will be OK. Kenya needs to put their military on these elephants and use poachers for target practice.

Loved the little angelfish most of all. The pictures of the humans were a little depressing ~ the one species who's numbers REALLY need to drop.

I have been to Pier 39 in SF many times and always saw the sea lions. So many of them them were practically laying on each other. The thought of them not being there on my next visit will be unusual.
