Nothern Nevada with all the excess water from the mines would be a great candidate nobody thinks of. We could get a million trees planted there. The soil is a little sandy but is rich in nutrients, ground water is abundant as is artesian water. Tree nation in all seriousness should look there

Why don't you email them, Michael? Sounds like a capitol idea to me!

I signed the petition, Cher. I'll ask my landlord if I can plant a tree somewhere on the property to honor my Mom Betty Knight who passed away from Lupus 18 years ago, and to Steve Irwin who loved all parts of nature.

TY Cher, do not forget that most of the wild animals cannot survive on just pine trees. Most wild animals (deer, turkey, bear, squirrels) like white oaks, a few hickory trees would be great. I am trying to start some pecan trees now. Apples trees are just about great for everything including us. To bad the mighty American chestnut trees are gone but, some people have found a few survivers and are even starting them again. If you like birds, do not forget the cherry and malberry trees, just remember, diversity is important in the forests
