Awareness and concern for wildlife resources have never been greater. This awareness is often translated into efforts to assist sick, injured and abandoned or "orphaned" wildlife. This goodwill gesture comes with many responsibilities and problems

Good information, we are sometimes too quick to step in and help out in a situation that appears abnormal. And as they state there are few among us who can really properly care for a wild animal.

I know one time a screeck owl had gotten hit by a car my husband seen it happen, so he went and picked it up and put it in a hat, He thought it was almost dead but, it made a a knocking noise and tured its head around real quick and bit him. I took it to a Vet at about 9:00 that night and they said they would keep it and call the wilflife and they would nurse it back to health, then bring it back here and release it. To its home land, to me this is good. thanks Cher C. noted
