But, everything helps! Thanks!

Signed and noted. The Japanese have many admirable traits... Their attitude towards whales and enviromental activists is not.

Noted and signed for you Cher!
But what bugs me is that Greenpeace does not realy care about the whales
otherwise they would cooperate with Sea Shepherd!
The best way to save the whales is to BOYCOTT JAPAN!

Sadly noted and signed the petition with own notes as well as sent far and wide. And I so agree with you Hans! There are too many radical extremists on both sides of the fence and a ban on Japan will hit them where it hurts - the economy!

Hans the top honchos might not care that much but the simple activists do. Those are always the ones to suffer. They're also the ones they have under arrest right now:( I do fully agree we should continue to boycott Japan.

This is just another example of how Greenpeace injects itself into the media and public consciousness to further their own fund raising. Readers will remember how Greenpeace used the slaughter of whales in the Southern Ocean to get photo opportunities which they then used to raise millions of dollars. They didn't stop a single whale from being killed and refused to cooperate with Sea Shepherd. They actually refused to let Paul Watson and his Sea Sheherd crew know where the Japanese fleet was when they encountered them.

Greenpeace is a bloated, worthless bureaucracy that feeds of the concern and care of people who love animals and the environment.

Please keep you wallets closed the next time they try to hit you up for money!

Wow, Hester i thought these main stream enviro groups were really doing something after following them EVERYDAY for 16 months. I really was doing such a good job of lying to myself again , till you woke me up! THX Hester!I guess if more pollution occurs, more cut trees, more species gone, more animal cruelty(never saw a monkey smoke in the zoo),etc.,etc.,etc.that maybe WE SHOULD ALL TAKE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR LIVES AND PLANET!!Maybe if we do it OURSELVES, we would not need large enviro gruops saying that there is such a thing as sustainable logging, etc, and stop believing our own bullshit! WAKE UP OR DIE!!!!!!Thx Cher and Hester!

Supporting these groups is just a way we try to buy off the damage that WE ALL CREATE, EVERYDAY, YES YOU! Although they do help , they are tied down by our GOV"T", they mean well and it is very frustrating for them! WE all need to get involved!

The French revolution happened over 300 years ago! And yet we still don't have liberty, equality and fraternity. We have our economy controlled by undemocratic institutions - private corporations, which are often corrupt and are always exploitative... and we have corrupt "democratic" capitalist governments that are the tool of those corporations - those politicians are promoted by the corporate media, and are given money LEGALLY, by corporations as "campaign contributions", as "political donations". So, of course, those politicians enact the agenda of the corporations, the agenda of the rich, at the expense of the working class and our environment.

For liberty, equality, fraternity!

For the people's democratic control of our economy!

From Stephanie colson
To Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda, Foreign Minister Masahiko Koumura
Subject Release the Greenpeace activists
Dear Ministers,

I am writing to protest, in the strongest terms, the arrest of Junichi Sato and Toru Suzuki for exposing a whale meat smuggling ring.

These activists are innocent of any crime. They have returned a box of whale meat stolen from Japanese taxpayers. They have openly cooperated with police in returning the whale meat and presented a full dossier on how it was obtained.

As a result of the evidence they presented, the Tokyo District Public Prosecutor began an investigation into allegations of embezzlement involving smuggled whale meat which raise serious questions about the scale and extent of the abuse of taxpayers' money by the operators of the Southern Ocean whaling programme.

Arresting the activists who have exposed this scandal is not acceptable, and suggests that the corruption that they called to the world's attention runs deep in the Japanese government.

It is an essential principle of democracy that those who act to expose wrongdoing in government should not be subject to intimidation or harassment, no matter how powerful the forces they oppose.

Please, release the activists and pursue the criminals.

Yours sincerely,

And please remeber FREEDOMMMMMM

Big Gorilly Hugs
