TOKYO - A woman whose baby boy lay dead for nearly a day while she chatted on Internet forums has been arrested in Japan, media and police said Friday.

Takahashi, whose first child died a few days after birth and who lost another son in a fall from an apartment balcony, told police she had been using chatrooms, media reported.

“I have sought solace in chatting on the Internet to get connected to other people for three years since I got depressed for losing my son in an accident,” broadcaster NHK quoted her as saying.

“Child raising is too much hassle.”

Three dead children..I hope she stays in jail a very long time..Someone like this should never have any children..
How disgusting..and so heartbreaking for those dead babies..

Then why does she have children, is there no birth control in Japan?

This is her 3rd dead child. I hope she is in jail until she passes the age she can't have anymore children. After all we wouldn't want her to go through the hassle again.

So sad, when so many couples can't have a child and would do anything to be able to have a child to love and raise.....would be no hassle to them.

WEll, now I read the article. Such irony-she was seeking solace for her dead son and let her living one die while doing so. That is pretty sad/pathetic.

This would have to be one of the few times I would support mandatory sterilization. Three of her children have died?! Outrageous.! Breaks my heart :-(

What ever happened to those neat slings you can attach the kid to you in front so he or she is always with you and monitored?!?! Lupa the Wolf did a far better job with Romulus and Remus in 750 BC than this ˘#&^ would ever dream of! Hysterectomy should be mandated for her before she's ever let out into the public!

Hopefully, now that she has removed 'the hassle: from her life, she has the time to spent a few years in jail - hassle free.
