GINOWAN, Okinawa - The anger of chanting protesters staging a sit-in outside a gate at U.S. marine Corps Air Station Futenma reached a boiling point as six Osprey aircraft flew into the base shortly before noon on Oct.1.

Good for these protesters! It's outrageous to expect people to accept that much intrusion in the middle of a city.

And I hear that it is not only in and over Okinawa (though most affected and disturbed will be always Okinawa) but many other cities and towns are on course of this Osprey flights. The U.S. and the rightwing Japanese policians always say that they (US troops) are there to protect us, but I can't think but otherwise...

In case anyone has forgotten, Japan is our ally. We really don't need to occupy them at this point. The people have made their demand loud and clear: shut down the bases and get out.
