Acid killings on daughters and wives in Pakistan, as well as beating wives with electrical cords are very popular. Painful and they can never be forgotten. It's time to tell Pakistani Muslims to value their females and not subject them to torture. And for what, talking to a boy?

The following are not subject to retaliation:
-1- a child or insane person, under any circumstances (O: whether Muslim or non-Muslim.
The ruling for a person intermitently (sic) insane is that he is considered as a sane person when in his right mind, and as if someone continously (sic) insane when in an interval of insanity. If someone against whom retaliation is obligatory subsequently becomes insane, the full penalty is nevertheless exacted. A homicide committed by someone who is drunk is (A: considered the same as that of a sane person,) like his pronouncing divorce (dis: n1.2) );
-2- a Muslim for killing a non-Muslim;
-3- a Jewish or Christian subject of the Islamic state for killing an apostate from Islam (O: because a subject of the state is under its protection, while killing an apostate from Islam is without consequences);
-4- a father or mother (or their fathers of (sic) mothers) fir (sic) killing their offspring, or offspring's offspring;

Njumber (6) there is no point in telling Pakistani Muslims to value their females when their deity, Allah, and the founder of their religion do not and condone this kind of sickness. What kind of god would ever condone such evil? Not a good one, that's for sure.

I agree with all the people that posted their horror and disgust. There is never a reason to use acid on anyone for any reason. The poor little girl. how she must have suffered, the pain and terror.

In the days that I drove an ambulance I saw the damage that acid can do to a person. To imagine a parent could do that to their child is beyond my imagination or any forgiveness.

I could cry..

My response: @ a_alahlawi who wrote: " ... their action is completely UNACCEPTABLE in islaam". This is a very common practice in muslim-majority countries & is supported & encouraged by your "clergy"! I am surprised the parents were even arrested; I doubt if they're CONVICTED!

Since the forum is "Moderated" & in the United Arab Emirates, let's see if my comment is even posted ... so far, only 2 comments; one from Nov. 2nd & one from the 6th! Since the original story broke on November 1st, I'm sure there were more than 2 comments posted, but the moderators didn't like what was written!
