How awful! These guys are more than likely extremists that are unglued in the head. I mean really, saying God “dictated” the assault. I don't know of any God that believes in inflicting harm on others. I just hope people don't use horrible incidents like this to justify their intolerance and Islamophobia. Thanks Gillian.

This sort of thing does so much harm for the attutudes towards muslims... and that is SO unfair! I do wish that the extremists of both Christianity AND Islaam did not get all the publicity! I a sure the cruel, mind-washed fanatics, just LOVE all that publicity! These people had nothing to do with God that is for sure! I wish we could fill the media with GOOD things that Muslim people do and try to make qute sure that the public do not get the muddled thinking that these extremists are typical of the normal people following ,most religions. I am a Christian and personlly, I am appalled by some of the thing that Christian fanatics do! God is obviously totally against ANY FORM OF BRUTALITY and aginst ALL WAR!! How could he be otherwise.?... Anything that puts people against one another and causes divisions,is abviously only going to create chaos! There is nothing chaotic about the laws of the Universe. it is all very mathematical and ordered! Truly God-centered people of most religions in their pure form are WONDERFUL people, doing so much good in the world... let's hear about THEM! That way we can get things in perspective! You look at the eyes of those four men! the eyes are the windows of the soul and I think we can see who owns THEIR souls!!

I have also heard God's voice in my head, it does not mean that you are crazy. The difference is that the voices in my head were kind and loving, and helped me do good things. These people did not really hear God's voice, but their own twisted ones.

My concern is that there are extremist Muslims in Western countries who believe that they have the right to force their beliefs on everyone else and then commit such atrocities. I do volunteer work which includes women and children damaged by honour violence and it totally disgusts me. There is no religion or way of life that would allow this so it has to be a male dominated society that approves it.

Having said that there are good and bad people in all walks of life & ethnic origins. It is sad that so much of the bad is from the way that people are brought up and encouraged to perform such acts. As for the voices, I don't believe in the devil, it is a Christian teaching, but any such voices can only come from a bad sorce. I agree with you Tara, the small still voice is to remind you of the right thing to do as well as to remind you of that which is good.

I know that the God that I serve is an all loving all forgiving God no matter what religion you are. I don't believe that he looks at religions either. I would rather be a lover of all than to waste my energy on hating. It gives spiritually such a bad name. I need to find myself and get a grip...I find myself falling into a pit that I'm not comfortable with....and I'm thankful that he is so forgiving for this.
