The Arabs object to the truth and UNESCO support this. Disgusting.

Complaints by Arab states led the United Nation’s cultural arm, UNESCO, to cancel the opening of an exhibition on the Jewish presence in the land of Israel.
The exhibition, organized by the Simon Wiesenthal Center along with the governments of Canada and Montenegro, was scheduled to open Jan. 20 at the Paris headquarters of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
UNESCO director-general Irina Bokova on Wednesday said in a letter to the Simon Wiesenthal Center that the exhibit, titled “The People, the Book, the Land — 3,500 years of ties between the Jewish people and the Land of Israel,” would be postponed indefinitely. She said the decision arose out of UNESCO’s support for peace talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
“We have a responsibility in ensuring that current efforts in this regard are not endangered,” she wrote.
The cancellation followed a letter sent to Bokova on Jan. 14 by the Arab group at UNESCO, which admitted the Palestinian Authority as a member in 2011. “The Arab group is deeply disturbed by the exhibition, which it condemns,” said the letter by the Arab group’s president, Abdullah Elmealmi.
“This cause is championed by those who oppose peace efforts,” Elmealmi said. “The media campaign accompanying the exhibition will inevitably damage the peace talks, the incessant efforts of U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and UNESCO’s neutrality.”
In an email, the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s director of international affairs, Shimon Samuels, wrote that the center was outraged by Bokova’s decision. He called for an email campaign opposing cancellation.

The Arabs and other Muslims are DESPERATE to make sure no one knows that Jews have a 3500 year old deep attachment to the Land of Israel. It was THE ancestral homeland of the Jewish people, but anti-Semite Muslims, as shown by the demands of OIC, will stop at nothing to do revisionist history to make it seem like the Jews came from Poland, Austria, Germany and Hungary.

Interestingly, in Gaza, the students are beginning to learn Hebrew in attempt to understand how Israelis think. They find that 40% of the root words in Hebrew and Arabic are the SAME. The grammar is the SAME. Both languages are written from right to left.

So, how is it that 40% of the root words are the same, they are both Semitic languages, yet the Jews and their Hebrew have always been in Europe? Must be a linguistic miracle!

Shame on the Obama administration for not standing up to this bullying by the Islamic bloc -- but not surprising. We will see things get worse and worse, now that Obama has no re-election campaign to worry about fooling people with.

It's sad the denial that so many Muslim countries have on what happened to the Jews under Hitler! It kind of goes with the saying that if one tells a lie enough times someone will believe it! Which in Obama's case he believes it himself, thus the necessity for repeating the lies!

There is a reason Hitler's Mein Kampf continues to be a best seller in Muslim countries; anti-Jew sentiment is based on Islamic doctrine. Jews could be on planet Mars and the Muslim world would still be complaining about them, while Hamas fired rockets at Mars.

The Qur'an in Sura 3:110 teaches Muslims, particularly Arabs, they are the best of peoples. In contrast, it calls Jews pigs and descendants of apes. The Qur'an creates paranoia among pious Muslims by calling Jews their worst enemies (Sura 5:82). Islamic doctrine is that the Muslim messiah the Madhi will come as Jews are wiped off the planet.

Islamic doctrine predates the current State of Israel by over 1,000 years, yet Muslims blame all their resentment of Jews on the current State of Israel. Islam is nothing more than trying to wipe out the Jewish history of thousands of years in the land of Israel, replacing it with the supremacist doctrine of Islam.

Non-Muslims who support pious Muslims in their anti-Jew sentiment don't realize that they are also on the Islamic hate list. Pious Muslims are all too willing to use them to advance their hateful agenda before turning on them.

3500 years of history. denied. easy as that. they're probably going around patting themselves on their backs.
but how do they deny the fact that jews are there and they're not going anywhere. that would be a neater trick.

UNESCO should not show bias - but it does...frequently when it comes to Israel. It is a gutless and meaningless United Body of Nitwits.

while this is every kind of scandalous, we'd be fools to be surprised at any kind of anti-semitism erupting from the UN.

The UN, having never been a supporter of Israel, this is not a great surprise.

It's time to stop listening to and giving in to these spoiled, vicious, six year olds over every perceived little slight. If they don't like it go sulk in the mosque and leave it to mature people to get on with life. Don't even get me started on the criminal UN. Uncle Rocky is pleased.

Agreed Allan. That's why I wouldn't donate a cent to any UN linked charity.

Seems to me the enemy is most adept at making up their own history and news and explaining how right they are! Not very convincing to me.

I know that almost any view can be argued convincingly from opposite sites (as in computer sites overflowing with facts and fancies). .Equally balanced exploiting experts hold forth their own revered ideas. However, many of these bring only paper victories with the paper near shredded.

I think most people believe what they want to believe and get pissed when they are reluctantly led to view opposite ideas. It's as if with topics of importance they listen to the rattling of their favorite ideas and close the book on opposing chapters.

I say yes, I can sit on the fence. I get a better view that way.

LOL That was fun to write.

Just don't ask me what it means. LOL
