Qatar is the biggest backer and ally of the Muslim Brotherhood's Hamas.

This, against the background of so many egregious arrangements with countries and ideologies that are anathema to us, is just one more indicator that this president is unprecedented in his Trojan Horse approach. Some day he will be seen as traitor without comparison.

It's the only way that Obama can guarantee to get arms to the MB and Hamas. What a wonderful ally!

Well here's a surprise. You can guess where most of this stuff is going to finish off.

Once again, a huge story that received little press; no wonder Israel does not trust Obama.

Reagan's Osama Connection0

How he turned a jihadist into a terrorist kingpin
http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/war_stories/2004/06/reagans_osama_connection.html

The Iran-Contra Affair Ė 1986-1987

The Reagan administration sold arms to Iran, a country desperate for materiel during its lengthy war with Iraq; in exchange for the arms, Iran was to use its influence to help gain the release of Americans held hostage in Lebanon; and the arms were purchased at high prices, with the excess profits diverted to fund the Reagan-favored "contras" fighting the Sandinista government in Nicaragua.

It was a grand scheme that violated American law and policy all around: Arms sales to Iran were prohibited; the U.S. government had long forbidden ransom of any sort for hostages; and it was illegal to fund the contras above the limits set by Congress.

Charges brought by the prosecutor eventually resulted in the convictions of several members of the Reagan administration, including Reagan's national security adviser, Adm. John Poindexter, and his deputy, Lt. Col. Oliver North. (North's multi-count conviction was set aside on appeal.) Reagan himself was never charged with any offense, although opinions differed about his knowledge of, and culpability for, the affair.

How soon we forget!

Noted. This is just crazy. The U.S. is using my tax dollars to fund both sides of this conflict. I object.

Interesting in an asinine way. Israel was fundamental in creating Hamas. In the 1970s Israel decided that Sheikh Ahmed Yassin and his MB splinter group was the perfect attack dog to fund and nurture to counter the secular Yasser Arafat and his PLO. Just like the USA(Reagan President) via the CIA in the 1980s decided to back, fund, train and arm Osama bin Laden and his mujahedeen as the perfect attack dog to deal with the Communist USSR. The problem with human attack dogs is that sooner rather than later they turn on their trainers. Can you say Tea Bagged.

Lloyd, indeed! Hamas screams support for the Sunni's and Qatar is their new best friend, supporter of terrorism around the world. Next, Turkey. Iran withdraws to obtain nuclear weapons and support Iraq, who they bombed to smithereens not long ago. Soon enough, Egypt, Bahrain, and the UAE will jump back into the picture.
Ahh, the back-stabbing intriques!

The great USA sends arms to support terrorist organizations in the Middle East, allows al-Jazeera America into public media.......and everyone screams how Israeli-biased America is??
But we need that oil and gas!!! WAH!!!

For all you ignoramuses 'blaming' Obama, these transactions cannot be funded or completed without Congressional approval.

Peace talks one minute, selling arms the next. The US can't afford to help low income folks, but can find $11 billion for arms. Crazy!

Marc, the person at the top of the tree is the one that is responsible for what happens. I am in Europe and can see the Islamification of America although the media do not show such stories.

Marc..And Obama does not need approval from Congress to do anything! He will bypass whoever he has to in order to do what he wants! Remember him saying he had a pen and a cell phone!? And you STILL think he has to have congressional approval!?

Blaming Obama for everything under the sun is completely idiotic, and counterproductive.
Ge M.: That is NOT how our country works. The citizens are ultimately for what happens in our country. At any time Congress can cut funding to stop things from happening. To think that Obama can get on a phone and just make a huge arms deal without approval from anyone is beyond ignorant. It iis abysmally stupid.

Carol Dreeszen: Interesting you calling me part of the problem when you aren't quite smart enough to know how this country operates. The REAL problem is completely ignorant citizens such as yourself masking idiotic comments and then calling the people who actually are educated, "Stupid." That fact that you think that Obama can just pick up a phone and send billions of dollars of weapons and aid anywhere he chooses is beyond retarded.

Marc, really? You mean the people under him don't rush to cater for his every whim? That CAIR does not control government departments such as the FBI? Would you like me to continue?

Marc P. (37)
Thursday July 24, 2014, 1:44 pm
Ge M: Are you delusional? Republicans won't allow Obama to help this country, never mind anyone Else! And again. Congress holds the purse strings. They are the ones who decide what funding goes where. I don't hear too many Republicans complaining about this issue! Learn how this country works!
