On June 9, 2008, on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) introduced 35 articles of impeachment against President George W. Bush. Sign a petition to your representatives to support impeachment.

It shouldn't take 35 different issues before action is taken...
George Bush and his antics are an embarrasment to the American public.
Treason comes to mind!

I hope they heed the American people on this--once more before them. But I doubt they will because to do so will lay bare theie direct complicity to his crimes. Vote them ALL out of offce this November--ALL of the incumbants irregardlass of party. THEY ARE ALL COMPLICIT!!

Thanks for posting this Jim.

My friend Just Carole we can not take back what we never had! Soon you will come to realize that the British Monarchy was simply replaced by American Royalty. The rest of us are mere "sheeple" to those that rule. What other option could there possibly be?

I had no trouble sending a message to Nancy Pelosi yesterday. But I couldn't send one to Conyers. Apparently the e-mail system installed for the House Judiciary Committee picks up the discrepancy between the location of my e-mail address (France)and my voting address (NY), because my message is blocked with the comment 'invalid address.' Nor can I use my French address, since the system only allows messages from US addresses.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'll gladly try to have my voice heard.

Just want to add an update. Technically it was not Kucinich who pushed for a vote to send it to the House Judiciary. He was sincerely trying to have it voted on, by Congress, as an impeachment proceeding. Those opposing pushed it to the House Judiciary in the belief that it will die there.

Send a message to John Conyers Jr. and demand this be acted on!

Thank you.

If it's too late to impeach Bush and Cheney, there is still the chance they could go to jail! It's a shame that the Democrats didn't start these proceedings when they became the majority! They would have a better chance of winning in Novemebr, but I don't trust them these days either!

Oh no the democrats don't want to the right thing for the country, they are too concerned about getting elected. I dont care about it being too late it is the right thing to do for the country and the constitution, period. Impeach the criminals!

great thread, awesome points btw, have people not been asking for attention on this issue for at least 4 years? seems like forever TO ME.
Thank-you Just C for making the point about ruined lives, people's lives are ruined in so many different ways, boxed in and shut down and suffering unable to even find help to help themselves, it is inhumane and I do not want to see high priced weddings or millions spent for Christmas Whitehouse decorations, many could not heat homes and many had no food, so whatever the deal is with power it must be linked to money and those who are in greatest need to be heard, well seems things have worked out that those in need lack both... speaking from some home life personal time here, myself.

Anyway, how many wrong directions continue before someone sits up and takes notice makes changes and brings balance?

I am frightened by "clones" up for next election and unless appropriate restrictions are placed then what of those who follow, should they expect to be freedom of rule ... grander scale even?

HUGE can of worms
with teeth.

Scary to me,
is why

why not be appropriate,
are they fearful of this type
action in war time?
the tactical view, strategic
means I mean, there must be
a why....

Wow, this will never happen! It's coming to late in the game anyway. I'd much rather see our elected officials work on issues that will make a difference in our lives, and future generations, than to get caught up in something like this. It's a waste of their time and their effort, and it's only being done now for show. It's time to get real. No, it was time to get real a long time ago - years in fact!

It's not too late. First...it would only take a day, if you read up on it you'll see that, and second...he still has plenty of time to nuke Iran and completely destroy our country.

There are no issues that do not hinge on us having a functioning system. NONE.

Dennis was my choice, although I am not a D (nor am I an R!!!) But him doing this proved to me I was making the correct choice for myself and my fellow Americans. I just wish more people would research EACH candidate, their records, their beliefs, etc. I really wish more people would research a third party as this two party crap has got to be ended, for all of our sakes.
Dennis showed balls and made history on Monday, but he is still laughed at as a loon, like Ron Paul. And sure there are issues each candidate has we may not agree with but the bigger picture must be looked at. Youtube Dennis. You might be surprised. He had my support and I continue to support his re-election into Congress although I am a Floridiot. He is one politician who listens to WE THE PEOPLE. I am truely hoping by some miracle, he a Ron Paul team up and go independant. Dennis will prevent Alaska being drilled. Dennis is more Green than D. Dennis is for the family farm. Dennis is for people like me.

One more Congress member, Rep Farr, Sam [CA-17] just signed on as co sponsor to the articles of impeachment of Bush, that is because of all of us, so let's keep going, the more that co sponsor, the more there are that will join in.

The impeachment process is possible and/or can be used for criminal prosecution even after George W. Bush leaves office—giving the American people a sense of hope. Even though impeachment while Bush is in office does not seem likely due to the complicity of Congress relative to the illegitimate Iraq War, Kucinich’s efforts relative to impeachment and the efforts of hundreds of Americans relative to impeachment are not wasteful collectively. For example, such efforts are beneficial in that (1) legitimate accusations made in the course of Bush’s presidency appropriately and importantly inform the American people and the world of Bush’s abuses of power, corruption, and dishonesty; and (2) legitimate accusations, for example, in Dennis Kucinich’s excellent book, “The 35 Articles of Impeachment and the Case for Prosecuting George W. Bush,” may contribute to some impeachment and/or punitive process against Bush after he leaves office.

Dennis Kucinich is my role model. Kucinich is simply the best. Congressman Kucinich has, in any case, done invaluable, noble, and exemplary work in pushing for impeachment so vigorously and single-mindedly.
