Father Khan And Taj hopefully compels people to consider wildlife conservation from an animal's point of view, and possibly through the eyes of a child. Children are, after all, the future of wildlife conservation, preservation and the health of Earth.

The article:

A 3 1/2 minute National Wildlife Humane Society Presentation has been uploaded to YouTube and is now on the net. "Father Khan And Taj" hopefully compels people to consider wildlife conservation from an animal's point of view, and possibly through the eyes of a child. Children are, after all, the future of wildlife conservation, preservation and the health of Earth in general.

A tiger father, Khan, discusses life in the jungle with his cub son, Taj. The presentation is formatted much like a children's book, although you may want to view it first, before watching it with your child. The subject matter is based on a harsh reality (the current plight of tigers in the wild) and may be a bit too mature in content for very young children.

This presentation is created to stimulate discussion with added outreach impact. It also introduces people to NWHS conservation efforts in a unique way. The background music is "The Angels Weep" by Jason Shaw - audionautix.com.

You may view "Father Khan And Taj" embedded on an NWHS web page.

Thanks Patrick - what a great project. So important to teach people about the importance of wildlife when they're young.

I have already sent a YouTube link to this to my Friends here. So I will dispense with the mass mail to friends asking them to note it.

If anyone sees value in the presentation and wants to forward a link to those who might not be on my friends list, that would be awesome :)

I realize it's rather "different"

Not "my" organization, it's "our" organization. :)
NWHS belongs to the public, but more importantly to wildlife.
(I was actually thinking about listing one of the tigers here, on the Board Of Directors, but I'm not sure if that's allowed).
LOL.. Maybe an honorary ex-facto board member?

Very beautiful video. It is such a shame that humans feel the need to destroy everything they see and they can not see the beauty in the world and live in peace with it's other inhabitants. Most people do not view these beautiful creatures as the sentient beings they are but as things to be done with as they wish.

Thanks Patrick for the beautiful video!!!!!

Wonderful video Patrick I hope it will wake people up to what is happening to our wildlife and their environment. So many people in this world are so wrapped up in their little corner that they are oblivious or don't care about what is going on.It's a shame that the next generation might only be able to see all this beautiful wildlife in picture books, unless something is drastically done to save their environment and them

Thank you, Patrick, this is such a wonderful, sad, and scary for our planet's wildlife. There are people who think it is their right to kill any wildlife they want. This is a War On Our Wildlife and we must do all we can to stop it in our time. If not, there will be none left for future generations to enjoy watching.

I don't know what's too young. We don't want to give the little tyke nightmares. But considering what's flashing on the TV 24/7, it's hard to call this harsh.
