Thanks Stewart and all who are doing what they can. We are the 99%.
Thanks for the post Dandelion.Interestingly, the biggest protests since the Vietnam war are not on the news. The biggest paper in my state hasn't had it on the front page. The papers all seem to be owned by the big businesses that don't want to add any fuel to the people's fire.

All this rush to balance states budget, especially for foraging the banks and making do to people, even debts more (but then! the subprime crisis is not served to nothing), these governments have not understood anything!
Especially Germany, which has ruined Greece for do not wanting do buy from EU 20 million of Grecian bonds at the beginning of crisis, now are not enough 200 million who will pay only workers.
This excuse of the debt of governments, it seems as when a couple is divorcing and fight to divide the property "this is mine, no is mine!"
They do not understand that we are all in the same boat and if we're sinking, they also will sink with us.
They want increasingly the world divisions, between rich and the poor, the right and the arrogance of the parasite.
Divides, liquidate and privatizing, that is their religion.
They dont care if a child does not eat today, but if they lose their bunga bunga get angry as children who lost their toy, and threaten to close your mouth to the whole world.
I speak not only to Berlusconi, he is no worse than the others, are all equal, even if they pretend to indignant, or they joke about it, they make fun of us and even for our situation.

Yes, Linda, isn't that a SHAME. Even OUR ( that's Germy.) daily papers have covered the protests and there are daily extended radio reports from Occupy Wall Street. BTW, the comment that the president made on it just yesterday wasn't satisfactory at all, in my view....

"occupy wall street" makes declaration of intent everyones been waiting for

Tell you what, Wolf a., I'll sign here....And thank you Alexis...I.just did, AND I will again go down to Liberty park to do what i can again over this weekend. I was there Wednesday and before. I will consider a trip to Washington, in that worthy effort but meanwhile will give what i can to that DC effort from my pocket. We do not need to do just one thing, nor do you need to be able to do everything, to make a difference... but do something, and do what we can. Signing here will boost morale as it shows the numbers of our supporters. As it gets colder we/they will need all the support they can get. I'm lucky, I get to come home. As I said to those to whom I handed pamphlets informing of the Wednesday event, "Join the Revolution!, don't just walk by it"

"This century's 1968" Abbie would be proud! I know I am. My country is standing up. Do all you can.

Signed, noted and shared. Thanks so much. I do agree with Robert. Do whatever you can. If you can carry a sign on your main street, do it. If you can sign a petition, donate a few dollars, write some letters, make some phone calls, do it. It is all about participating in this democracy of ours before it becomes irrevocably a plutocracy and we are no longer able to participate.

Signing more than once is redundant, unnecessary, and suggests a rigged quality to an effort, IMHO. Passing it to others would be more productive. Peace.

Noted and Signed! Hope to join them in the near future. It is time that the 99% of us who have been forgotten stood up and made our voices heard. This is what America should be about....not complaining but taking action like this....believe me all people who are dissatisfied will join in whether in person or in spirit. I sincerely hope this attitude continues until the election of 2012. Maybe we can get people in office that really care about the 99% and not just the corporations, oil companies and the 1% that rules us now.

It would be important protest also in front of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), now the speculation is moving in the derivatives market.
These profiteers, "people who never saw a lump of earth", speculating on the price of wheat and other commodities, these are doing starving millions of people in poorer countries, betting on natural disasters and sicitā: buying up huge quantities of rice, cereals etc. ..
They do increase and decrease prices year after year, they purchase cheap "doing to starving peasants, who could no longer live off their work and leave the earth" and selling at high prices "doing to starving millions of people in poor country, for which a cent makes a difference between eating and not eating".
They gain ever at the expense of weaker and if they do not find buyers in the food market, selling to make biofuels.
Countries should instead create stocks of raw materials during periods of low cost and resell to "low price" to the poorest countries at the time of the largest increases, so blocking any possibility of speculation.

If I find myself in a position to do so, I'll give a shout out from there to Care2 on a live feed.

Yup..its now 551,415 now. About 500 votes in around three hours . It's growing! At that rate rate they will be saying, we have made it to 1,000,000 in not too long. Its great to see the support.
