The protests forced the cancellation of the closing ceremonies and the torch is on its way to the airport. Free Tibet!

I watched the propaganda parade on the beeb last night and had to laugh at the shenanigans; diverting the relay to areas where no one was waiting, people running to catch sight of it and the celebration party called off and moved to an 'undisclosed' location as hundreds/thousands(?) were stood up? Oh yeah, that shows the spirit of the games....
Not to mention the police presence so tight that if one was standing 20 feet from the torch of controversy they wouldn't have seen it.
The time has arrived to put away this propaganda tool of Nazi Germany, it serves no one and creates more dis-harmony in the world.


You know there really is still a chance for peace and that chance will definitely increase if we each do our piece. So let’s make peace -- in our homes, in our own hearts, in our relationships, in our communities, in all of our dealings and in the world. Peace be with us all.
