The word that's come to light was that the Egyptian military televised that the Christians were attacking when it was the other way around, and Muslims came to assist the Army chanting Islam and became part of the lie.

People of faith have got to get it together, the powers to be will try anything to have us go at each others throat. An Egyptian reporter said he had not seen anything like it and it would go down in Egypt infamy! The enemy will use any tactic open to them. It's up to people of faith to stop being so eager to judge another.

During the early Egyptian protests Coptic Christians and Muslims stood in solidarity. Why not now?

"Chaos and Bloodshed": 25 Die in Cairo as Egyptian Military Attacks Coptic Christian Protesters
"In Egypt, at least two dozen people died on Sunday when the Egyptian military attacked a large gathering of Coptic Christian protesters. The violence broke out after a protest in Cairo against an attack on a church in Aswan province last week. Democracy Now! correspondent Sharif Abdel Kouddous was in Cairo and witnessed the killings.

"Then the military attacked. They came rushing forward, beating anyone in their path. Then they started opening fire. The sound of gunfire filled the air," said Kouddous. "It was really a scene of chaos, a scene of bloodshed, the likes of which I have not seen since the revolution here in Cairo. And the reaction of the army does not bode well for the future." http://www.democracynow.org/

The world is in turmoil, many innocent people will be hurt and killed and I really don't understand. There seems to be no tolerance or compassion anymore, not anywhere even here in where we consider ourselves to be civilized.

Noted.
The US should cut off all aid to Egypt's military until they pledge to protect the Coptic Christians.

I hope that this can be resolved peacefully, and that it does not destroy the country or otherwise devolve into sectarian violence or genocide.

I saw this on the Yahoo news this morning when I started the computer, how sad it made my heart. It did not surprise me as I've been hearing stories of unrest, of people getting tortured that were part of the original demonstrations. The Generals protected Mubarak and now they are in charge....no one likes to give up power and they were part of the power with the Dictator. The hopes of the people to be dashed so quickly. But the people must realize they must unite and some are reminding them of that, no matter what faith they all must be free under this revolution.

You cannot currently send a star to Dandelion because you have done so within the last week. "no matter what faith they all must be free under this revolution.

" Every last one Dandelion. "Free to be" ..Every spirit on this planet, if this planet is to survive, must finally receive the respect all, animal, vegetable, mineral, inhabitants of this earth deserve.

If someone, in today's environment, says they don't get it. Then I ask, "WHY NOT?"

Killing others due to intolerance of their religious beliefs should make the guilty parties think twice about their own, because if their religion promotes or condones such behavior, then it's seriously flawed and is not serving them well. Egypt's future is in great jeopardy if its people cannot come together to create a strong and unified country. If they can't, they may as well have Mubarak return to power because the situation will be unchanged, their revolution with have accomplished nothing, and those who died will have died in vain. To waste all that because of pride or intolerance is childish.

Egypt is faced with the same corruption it had with the Mubarak Regime because it's the advisers/plutocrats who make the decisions with or without a fall guy! Just as we Americans have a great deal of housecleaning to do so to does Egypt. But at least Amnerica's joining the the Peaceful fray which says "Occupy"! This land is your land as well.

Susanne, if certain players in America get out of the terrorist business PEACE could be realized! We tend to be on someone else's land, occupying it with no right to it and when they fight back, we call it terrorism. The monsters "We" have been warned of for many years has come home to roost! Time to take back from them what they think they have a right to steal from US. OUR DREAMS!

Noted. Religion is the single most toxic human artifact on this planet. It causes more violence than any other product that our species has ever produced. It is time that we relegate archaic dogma and superstition to the hazmat bin of history.

"..The enemy will use any tactic open to them. It's up to people of faith to stop being so eager to judge another."

"...the powers to be will try anything to have us go at each others throat".

These two sentences sum it all up!

Thanks dear sister, we NEED to unite NOW!!!

Thank you for the link. I have to admit it can be maddening to get something done without precious time being wasted on waiting, redoing, posts, comments disappearing, etc. But, that said, Care2 is a large active community, touching on delicate issues, so it's the "We' that need to encourage Care2 folks to fix what requires fixing.

Yes, the 'devil' has come 'home to roost'!! WE the people need to start fixing the 'errors of the past' and UNITE - we really do not have to 'fight one another', we are all for peace, co-existence and everything else that's for the benefit of all - we ALL treasure that! We can agree to disagree, to each his own? Stop judging and start living together in peace and harmony!

The Coptic Christians are fleeing because many Muslims want them out. There are those that don't want them to go but it seems that they are up against the military and that would mean that they have government support.

I have posted many stories of Muslims attacking other religions but it seems that the majority of the people do not care.

First they came for the communists
And I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist

First they came for the trade unionists
And I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist

First they came for the Jews
And I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew

Then they came me
And there was no one left to speak out for me.
