Sorry Barbara, this is just a ridiculous idea. I'm sorry you don't see Israel's position in the Gaza.Israel does not set out to destroy homes, many in fact were built by the Israelis themselves - or didn't you know this. What excuse do you have for bombing civilian buses? Or for Palestinians entering an Israeli home last year, and slaughtering the parents and 4 children>
Unless their corporate policy has changed, Siemens, came to this country in the late 1940's. This electrical company was responsible for the lighting of Auschwitz, Dachau. and Bergen Belsin. Now they are supporters of Israel? I can only hope this is true.

Examples of specific, systematic human rights violations related to U.S. military support
• Killings of civilians - At least 2,969 Palestinian civilians uninvolved in hostilities were killed by the Israeli military between December 29, 2000 and December 31, 2009. This includes at least 1,128 children under the age of 18. Many of these deaths are connected to weaponry the U.S. underwrites.

Details available at
http://www.weaponstoisrael.org/article.php?id=2940
And through original date from B’Tselem at
www.btselem.org/statistics
• Suppression of legitimate political expression and protest – U.S.-supplied tear gas has been used by Israel to systematically suppress political protests and dissent in the occupied Palestinian territories. This has led to the deaths of at least 5 Palestinians and the grave injury of many others, including two U.S. citizens.
• Home demolitions and forced displacement – According to the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions, approximately 24,813 Palestinian homes in the occupied Palestinian territories have been destroyed since 1967. House demolitions in the West Bank in 2011 forcibly displaced nearly 1,100 Palestinians (over half of them children) from their homes, over 80% more than in 2010, according to the United Nations (UN) Office of the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
http://www.unocha.org/annualreport/2011/pse

• Use of prohibited weaponry in densely populated civilian areas – Israel has used both white phosphorus and flechette shells in Gaza and Lebanon in violation of international humanitarian law. During operation cast lead white phosphorus shells were fired against civilian targets including a UN compound, two hospitals, and private residences causing civilian deaths and injuries. Flechette shells have also been used repeatedly in Gaza since 2001, causing significant civilian deaths and casualties.
http://www.amnesty.org/en/news-and-updates/news/israeli-army-used-flechettes-against-gaza-civilians-20090127

• Restricting Palestinian movement - Israeli-only roads and more than 500 roadblocks and checkpoints carve up the West Bank, making travel for Palestinians arduously slow or impossible*. The Wall constructed by Israel in the West Bank deviates considerably from the 1967 lines, confiscating occupied Palestinian territory and water in the process, and severely restricting Palestinian movement. Since 2007 Israel has also maintained a comprehensive blockade on Gaza, restricting not only the movement of Palestinians into and out of Gaza, but also restricting the import and export of goods. The UN and International Committee of the Red Cross have both concluded that this blockade amounts to collective punishment **, in contravention of the Fourth Geneva Convention.

As I mentioned in my article - (thanks Barbara for sharing)
'It is clear to me, a boycott of the Israeli corporations will also hit the honest and peace - loving Israeli people who thyself oppose their 'Rottenschild' Government.

But as the poor victim (Zionist mindest) playing the cards of the Old Testaments 'Mosaic Law' ('an eye for an eye') against other states in the worlds community and boycotting them - such as the Iran or Syria not to forget Gaza - causing great havoc and turmoil, the Zionist State should experience the pains of oppression itself a boycott of Israeli brands in my opinion is just fair.'

Allen I wish you and those who think like you do would stop patronizing the rest of US! If you want to know the truth about the politics of Zionist Israel then READ "The Generals Son"

Are you afraid you might hear something that will change your view? If Israel wants to see the end of violence then it begins with them.. Period! And please get this straight, This is not about wanting to see Jews harmed in any way. As many Jews have come to say; and with good reason,,, not all Jews are Zionists, not all Zionists are Jews.

Oppressing, Suppressing becomes depressing to a imprisoned people. Their children grow up with no semblance of hope for a future without constant punishment..Constantly being forced to live in fear..Bury their loved ones.

The Palestinians are even being deprived, not only of their lands, but their wells, clean water, since Israel took the water over to grow their produce for market..

Please don't tell me about who built what in Palestine.. I know who's stealing and or destroying the land. Israel! Read the Generals Son and learn a few important facts about what was once Beautiful Palestinians Homes" taken over by the politics of Zionist..

Allen you seem like a nice person. But you do not have the facts that honestly matter..

Miko Peled's revelation of truth is enlightening even hard core Zionist. The truth will always out itself.. The politics of Zionist Israel is corrupt to it's core..

Thank you Barbara, and of course my good buddy Parsifal!
Send a Green Star to Parsifal Rain Satori
Sending a Green Star is a simple way to say "Thank you"
You cannot currently send a star to Parsifal Rain because you have done so within the last week.
I am all for boycotting, as "hitting one in the wallet" seems to be quite successful. I am not educated enough about the History of this age old "FIGHT" to share, but I don't believe in War and understanding the concept Rain shared...'It is clear to me, a boycott of the Israeli corporations will also hit the honest and peace - loving Israeli people who thyself oppose their 'Rottenschild' Government."
I am amazed to see such a lengthy list and the process of involvement.
It is almost more than I can comprehend. As most of you know I boycott just about everything, for one reason or another. I guess I'm done drinking Perrier!

Well done Barbara. Although boycotts of domestic companies can work, I have grave doubts about the effectiveness of international boycotts unless universally implemented. However, the point is not so much to significantly hurt a country, it is to raise public awareness in one's own country and to bring home to big businesses the possible effects of their continuing support for the policies of a particular country, in this case Israel. In the end, it is big businesses which really rule our world, despite what politicians might pretend to the contrary, so the more pain they can feel on their bottom line, the better. Furthermore, a boycott does not mean that we are 'attacking' the people of that country, merely the leaders of the country and the businesses who profit from involvement in the country. Just because Israel currently has some truly evil, unprincipled & obnoxious leaders doesn't mean that all Israelis are like that. Some are, but the majority, as in nearly all countries, tend to be reasonably decent people who are led astray by evil & scheming political, religious & business leaders. A boycott can help towards public education and awareness of what is really happening in the Middle East and that is what is really important in the US, given the near complete dominance of the media and political forces by the pro-Israeli lobby. Israel is as much a terrorist nation as is/was Libya, Syria, Iran or North Korea and it is time US citizens learnt the truth.
