The potential for using the windows in buildings to produce electricity is really exciting - hopefully the costs can be reduced - possbily Governments could help, maybe by re-directing some of the huge amounts of public money pumped in to supporting the banks towards saving the planet instead!

Interesting. Of course the north facing windows would probably produce little electricity but would be great for light. South facing would produce the most with east west between the two. Of course that assumes that another building is not blocking the sun.

It will be interesting to see what happens.

Every Major City should offer Tax or other incentives into the feasability of this option .
Buildings with this potential should not overlook this transition .

Sounds absolutely fantastic. Let's hope it catches on in a big way. Anything we can do to wean ourselves off of nuclear, coal, fossil fuels, etc. is a step towards progress since renewable energy is the only way to go. Everything else will kill the planet and us in the process. Thanks.

If only all the money that has been spent on Nuclear energy had been put into Solar Power, we would have been so advanced by now and saved a great deal of distress.......Solar is definitely the way to go....better late than never, its great to see that this technology is moving forward now.

Speaking of energy--what are we waitng for??? Please, people, start turning off lights and appliances not needed. Supposedly appliances are sucking energy when plugged in (and not being used). Schools, churches, hospitals, the military, stores, all need to clean house on energy usage. Who wants a nuclear power plant in their neighborhood?? Esp. if it gets whipped around by a tornado??
