The checkered history of weight-loss drugs explains why the FDA has not approved a new diet drug in 13 years--despite the 200 million Americans who might use such a drug.

The first thing I thought was, "Who is going to die from it?"

Cue up Spirit 'Animal Zoo'

Combining transportation with exercise by switching most short trip travel to bicycle is one means of getting a handle on the problem. For those who can afford time and money for it, gym clubs (Golds Gym, American Family Fitness, etc) are fine, but using the bike for most short trips is more likely to get done. Quack diets and the current snake oil diet pills are at best placebos.

no pills for this unless they remove all GMO foods from our shelves, plus all the other hidden stuff in our food they don't tell us about.

How many are going to die before this drug gets recalled?

Sorry to break the bad news, but there is no easy way to lose weight or stay in shape. It all goes back to a better diet and exercising. If you can't do both than you really don't want to lose weight that badly. All of these drugs, other pills, drinks, etc are basically just taking all of your money. Money that could be spent on eating healthier or the gym or home gym equipment.

For every addiction, a new drug, a new addiction.

I ask those who do not live in the US: Are diet pills common in your country? For over 30 years you could appetite
suppressants like Dexatrim.. Are these common in Europe as well?
