I found this Swedish petition page worked better if I want to the original page and used Google's translator instead of that painfully slow Microsoft translator.

I want to say a big thank you to everyone who is supporting this cause and are signing to help save our Swedish wolves! There is hope still! I signed this petition myself some weeks ago, and am so glad it now has an international audience too - thank you, Roxy!

Lately, a young wild wolf couple actually seems to be making their home here in my home province in southernmost Sweden. I so much hope they will have pups - they would be the first permanent wolves in this province for more than a hundred years! That would be so amazing! So, if the wolves are just alone, their future in Sweden might look bright after all! Thank you so much for helping in making this true!

Mm M - with the polar bear good-griefing above:

This problem shows the oversupply of guns, the human frustration outlet of killing those over which one has power (cultural anthropology and psychology has strongly studied and identified this trait) is extremely widespread due to social approval of killing as "sport."

Killing for cultural reasons has gone off the charts as well. superstitious "remedies", market hunting, thrill-killing, poaching all argue for extreme limitation of guns, which have only existed in popular numbers for a few hundred years.
In those years, misuse has caused immense and dysfunctional wars on all levels, as well as the above problems. It is the social approval that is the large problem.

While guns are all-too-efficient, cultural approval is the area in which pressure from primary role models and peers can make local differences.

That means it is up to YOU, and What you do makes real change!

Roxie H (350)
Friday November 23, 2012, 4:40 pm
Agree'd It is a social approval sadly. The worst part of it is, not even a majority of this rules the lawmakers and the ones making these laws. Most are against Wolf Hunts and Wolf Killing, It's frustrating.
