Michigan Wolves In Crossfire

Animals  (tags: wolves, same sadists as wis. and minn just hoppe, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU WOLF HATERS??? )

- 1091 days ago -
The Michigan state Senate passed SB 135o on Thursday, which designates wolves as game animals, moving them one step closer to public hunts. The bill will now be shuttled to the state House for a vote. So much for Michigan being reasonable on wolves.

There is most definitely a war being waged against wolves. It appears to be organized on a national level.

All of our petitions for nothing? Can nothing abate this wolf killing?

I agree with Rock, there is definitely a war against wolves and there seems to be not a thing we can do about it. It's heart wrenching.

It's the principle of the the thing, you see. Safari Club International and Boone and Crockett can't stand the idea that there are any predators out there that aren't being controlled by them, that may not need to be controlled if they've been left alone and allowed to build stable packs that can defend large enough territories.

Knowing that there's some wolf out there walking freely down a small road or something, just, say, eating snow like it owns the place - a road belonging to the *Human*, because he once walked down it - makes them feel disrespected. Unfeared. God help that a wolf actually look at them and not run away in a panic like only an idiot wolf would do faced by a predator. That upsets them so much that they feel their manhood is threatened and to defend it they want to kill a wolf, or assure others do so few wolf packs can depend on their members anymore. The old, young, healthy, sick, wise, yet untaught will all be scythed a quarter or a third of a time out of most of those packs, they can forget about being able to build even as stable a pack as their 6-year lifespan allows.

The wolves aren't acting right. The sport hunt will teach them, like putting a number of dogs in a field and shooting them to train them to sit, while hiding and giving them no indication of what you want. And then leaving any psychic genius pup that learns to sit from this process in among the rest and going ahead and shooting it too.
