Wolves are definitely endangered species on an endangered planet. Once species become extinct, no legislation can bring them back… they are gone forever.
Wish to end this senseless war on wolves and to see them again in full glory!!!

Thank you Roxy!

For those who don't know Swedish, the article in short says that Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish organizations for nature and environmental protection in a joint effort are protesting a suggestion from the Norwegian government that half of the wolf territories that are shared by Norway and Sweden will be counted as Norwegian.

Since Norway has an even stricter wolf policy than Sweden, and only willl allow in total three wolf territories in the country, and many of the Scandinavian wolves wander across the border, it would mean a very serious threat to the survival on the already critically endangered Scandinavian wolves. And the situation becomes even worse by recent a decision by Finland that all wolves within reindeer herding territories will be allowed to be killed freely, something which will effectively prevent wolves from Russia to wander into Norway and Sweden to increase and rejuvenate that threatened population.

So therefore, these organizations have sent a joint protest to the leaders of Norway, Sweden and Finland, demanding that the three countries work together, and also together with Russia will work to save the North European wolves.

So, there doesn't seem to be any petition to be signed now I'm afraid - but it's still good that this protest has already been sent of course!

Outrageous!!! Both by Norway and Finland! Ther has to be a way to co-existance with the wild life, otherwise, shame on people who can't figure it out! Thanks Roxy
