The random killing of non-problem wolves for sport does not serve either of the stated goals and, in fact, it undermines them. It is the responsibility of the DNR, as stewards of our state's wildlife, to protect our wolf population for future generations

Your letter will be sent to the following recipients:
•Minnesota Governor's Office
•Mr. Tom Landwehr, DNR Commissioner
•Mr. Ed Boggess, DNR Fish and Wildlife Director
•Sen. Thomas Bakk, Majority Leader
•Rep. Paul Thissen, Speaker of the House

After a single hunting and trapping season, the Minnesota wolf population is at it's lowest level since 1988. The policy that allows recreational wolf hunting and trapping is not sustainable. The majority of Minnesotans believe wolves should be protected for future generations and oppose the cruel methods used to hunt them for recreation.

I urge you to discontinue your support for the recreational wolf hunt and to refocus on the original wolf management goals; to ensure the long-term survival of the wolf in Minnesota, and to resolve conflicts between wolves and humans.

The random killing of non-problem wolves for sport does not serve either of the stated goals and, in fact, it undermines them. It is the responsibility of the DNR, as stewards of our state’s wildlife, to protect our wolf population for future generations. I expect elected state leaders to hold the DNR accountable to the majority of Minnesotans that value wolves and oppose wolf hunting.

Yes, ANYONE can comment, although you should phrase your comments truthfully and in a way that might have effect.
Several polls have been conducted finding that Minnesotan majority is against sport hunting or trapping wolves.

On the public agency corruption in Minnesota:
Since 1995, the MN DNR has authorized 200 of the 202 hunting rules using the expedited emergency rulemaking process that bypasses any opportunities for public input.
Dr, Maureen Hackett states, “When the public is cut out of the process for public agency decisions and rulemaking, then bad stuff can happen, like the agency becomes hostage to special interests with special demands.”

Yeah Chris!

THe pleasure killers send that message with cash as well as words.
Such a corrupt nation. But send that message, as it is important to affirm.

I phrase it: "This [wolf] issue is the one upon which I base my vote."
