Thailand said on Friday it had made its largest-ever seizure of monitor lizards after finding more than 2,000 of the reptiles being smuggled in a convoy of pick-up trucks heading for the capital.

I hope that the Monitors were still alive, and those that were are not too stressed...yes it was great that they were caught! Can you believe it though, so many! no wonder our wildlife is heading for extinction..its terrifying !

How does one smuggle 2,000 of these monsters? The transporting conditions must have been beyond awful. Glad they were caught. Miserable immoral smugglers, bloody Chinese.
