If a Palestinian unity government is established, Europe would be willing to recognize the Palestinian leadership, and would consequently lift the sanctions it imposed on Hamas, sources in the entourage of French President Nicolas Sarkozy told France 2 television on Monday.

The European Union has classified Hamas as a terror organization, and has refused to negotiate with the group since it was elected to lead the Palestinian Authority in 2006.

On Sunday, the leaders of six key European Union states voiced their commitment to helping prevent Hamas from replenishing its weapons stocks. The leaders of France, Germany, Spain, Italy, United Kingdom and the Czech Republic, which currently holds the rotating EU presidency, visited Jerusalem and dined with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert Sunday, expressing their support for Israel following the three-week operation in Gaza, and their support for the cease-fire.

Hey Pete, I've seen your revisionist posts...Israel didn't attack, they responded after they were attacked numerous times. These countries keep allowing the terrorists to live and strike from within their borders so they should face the consequences. Go Israel!!! Defend yourself!!!

Yeah right, and Israel lifted their illegal blockade during the 6 month ceasefire, didn't use white phosphorous against civilians and all this had absolutely nothing to do with the upcoming elections.

Hey Edward, the real revisionist history is what we are spoonfed by those who own or control every single major media outlet, every major Hollywood studio save one, the major news magazines and virtually every major book publishing house.

Maybe you should take a look at what some Israeli born patriotic Jews, who aren't owned like we are, have to say:

Tony ~ Excellent comment! Here's more on that...

The American media plays a MAJOR role in the bias favoring Israel...

Of course, both sides of this issue are being represented fairly by the American media. See Jon Stewart's short video at this link.

I, and any "parent" would support the blockades. For example, how many times do I allow my neighbors to come in and maim and kill my family members before I stop them from coming in? How long do I let my neighbors allow those who maim and kill my family members to live amongst them? Please... Oh, and as far as the liberal media, liberal hollywood, etc., I can't help their agenda...I watch the FOX NEWS CHANNEL... As for talking with Israeli borns AND Arab borns...all of the ones I know support Israel and what Israel is doing.

"I watch the FOX NEWS CHANNEL"

OMG...that is the worst channel for propaganda. That's the neocon's voice for the Bush Agenda! Man, that station will screw up anyone's head!! Thank God the majority in America avoid that station.

Garbage in, garbage out...
