Can Americans sign up? This makes our health care system look like hell, and it should! Thanks for eye opening post, Ben!

Thanks for sharing this. I notice sweden shares lowest infant mortality rate such as Japan. Japan I know waits to vacciate their children until they are 6 months old instead of 12 hours old like here. They also have less vaccines total. What scares me in the USA if the health care goes thru for all it does not get governed by greed, such as mandating more dangerous vaccines instead of making those we have safer. Perhaps it would be good if our new President and those following him try to model after Sweden and Japans health care. From what I hear it is not so good in UK and Canada?

Terrific article! Thanks.

Only a single-payer approach to healthcare reform will END THE INHUMANITY OF OUR FAILED HEALTHCARE INSURANCE SYSTEM, WHERE PROFITS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN PATIENTS’ HEALTH, and where people die because of it.

There are two single payer bills in Congress:

In the House: HR 676, The United States National Health Insurance Act.

In the Senate: S 703, The American Health Security Act.

ASK your Senators and Representatives to support single-payer healthcare reform NOW!

Very interesting article. I'd like to read more on how other nations handle their health care. Looks like some more research is looming large for this lover of learning more on important subjects. If anyone has sites of interest, could you post them. If possible if you do post any sites, could you do it as a Link, so I can just click on. I'm still in the learning stages of Links and Hyper Links.
Thanks,
Lyn
