Of Course There's No Voter Fraud to Worry About

.... according to my friends who insist that efforts to reform voting laws are foolish "because voter fraud doesn't happen," there is absolutely no need to worry.

It's really frustrating and scary. I am not naive and I am sure there will be attempts at voter fraud, I just hope that they have a minimal effect and are negligible.

Why am I so not surprised that you convieniently fail to mention Repug strategist Nathan Sproul or his company Stratigic Allied Consulting or any of his employees. You know Sproul with such a shady history that before the RNC, under Rancid Pustule, aka Reince Priebus, would give him the multi-million dollar contract as the only RNC voter registration company, as the RNC required the State RCs tohire him, he had to change the company name. The contract for Colorado, Florida, Nevada, North Carolina, Virginia which Sproul's company cunducted with far far less than legal results. You know, SAC with an employee caught throwing Democrat registrations in the garbage, changing Dem to Repug on forms, simply refusing to register Dems, registering dead people as Repugs, creating completely fake registration forms, using invalid addresses, invalid drives licenses, and multiple signatures with the same hand writing. You really should try to research America from Canada before you play at shoving your foot into your mouth. For actual convictions the numbers are so small that you can actually understand them without taking off your shoes and socks to get to the big numbers. The Republican National Lawyers Association, and you can bet RNLA was looking as hard as the could being partisan as hell, did an in depth study of voter fraud convictions for all elections in all 50 states and the District of Columbia from 2000-2010 and neither they or the RNC or any Republican State Committees were at all happy with their results, probably why you have to know to look for it.
THE RESULTS: For 2000-2010 per year Rhode Island had a maximum of4, 20 states had 2 or less and 30, including D.C., had three or less. Now these also include convictions for improperly filling out registration forms, such as failing to change Drivers License name after marriage orfailing to update change of address on all ID and forms. If you do the numbers, which I know is really really hard for Repugs and Tea Baggers regardless of country, you get an upper end average of some kind of real in person voter fraud in every 15 Million votes per election nationally. That would translate into .0000001% of the vote in any given year being fraudulent that can not and has not ever effected the out come of any election in the USA be they Federal, State or Local.

Oh, I almost forgot, you do realize that Mitt Romney has more than one Voter Fraud problem himself don't you. While registered in Utah, and declared on his tax returns as a resident of Utah for a bigger tax cut on his new house, Mitt had to retro-actively change his state of residence to Qualify to run for Governor of MA. He registed his voting address as the unfinished basement of one of his sons in MA.

The only voter fraud I've seen is the unconstitutional
voter id laws that have been passed by Republican
controlled state houses. And now, who else but a
Republican tries to actively commit voter fraud. Wow!

Lloyd I'm not sure as to whom you are referring to in Canada since you didn't mention a name. Thanks for the statistics about Romney/Ryan of who I am not a fan nor am I a fan of Obama/Biden. I think most top echelon politicians are habitual crooks of one strip or another who answer to the PTBs behind Wall Street and the multinational corporations. There are some good people in the lower ranks in Washington but they have to play by the rules set forth by each party. Once they reach the top they find themselves unable to govern unless they conform to the existent corrupt system in place, Real change will only come once the system has been changed and where accountability; responsibility; transparency; campaign reform; financial reforms; tax reforms are the order of the day and not the exception. Until that day comes You the People will have representational government in name only. Your needs will always be secondary to the those of the elite 10%. We are fighting a battle up here along the same lines. Cheers.

If you are on the left you have to be right. Unfortunately in America there is NO "Left".

The Bush administration did an exhaustive search for voter fraud and came up empty. There have been two dozen cases since 2000 that we know of, and two of them were by Ann Coulter and Mitt Romney.

Of course in the fevered brains of Republicans, that's a perfect reason to disenfranchise 7 million voters.

And if you want people to have a picture ID, the state should come to you and provide them free.

But if you're on the right you are never allowed to be right.

This is sure to be a Pulitzer Prize winning article, as are so many that are published in this rag "Hot Air." Next story? Man rubs lamp, genie appears and grants him 3 wishes.

Don't spew wingnut propaganda., show me true facts about ACORN doing anything wrong. Don't use right wing sources because they always lie, and wingnuts don't believe left wing sites, because although they are almost always right, you wouldn't believe them. But the truth is out there if you look for it. And you'd be shocked to find that ACORN was as pure as the driven snow and done in by ignorant racist scumbags who hated the idea of blacks voting.
