The free diver was on his way back in when he must have seen the Orcas and quickly got out onto the rocks. It seemed like there was at least 4 Orcas around him of which one was a mother with her calf.

glad dog and diver are okay, what a great experience, but it can have gone horribly another way

Wow! That's a once in a lifetime experience. The dog doesn't seem too perturbed by the whale.

What a**holes to let the dog swim in the water with the killer whales- although I think the whales were just curious about the dog- as they easily could have grabbed him if they wanted to. I wish we could hire orcas to attack whaling vessels....

Who knew orcas would come that close to land? And what kind of idiot lets their dog even near that water?

I suppose the orca's could have thought the diver and dog were seals, or they were protecting the baby orca. Who knows, but the ocean is their home and they need to protect what is their's.
