As I reported over a year ago, even Congressman Hal Rogers, a conservative Representative from Kentucky, and former Senator John Ensign, a rising star in the Republican Party before he resigned in disgrace, wrote letters asking for health reform grants while calling for absolute repeal. Rogers called health reform “socialistic” and a “monstrosity.” Nevertheless, he requested Obamacare funds for a nursing clinic in rural Clay County. The money, Rogers said in a letter to the Department of Health and Human Services, would “provide critical care in an area in extreme need of access to adequate healthcare.” Ensign recommended an application for a physician training grant made possible through the Affordable Care Act.
Rogers and Ryan have voted to repeal all of the Affordable Care Act on multiple occasions in the last two years.
“I don’t know what’s the bigger sin,” says Tom Perriello, a former Democratic congressman who championed health clinics as a supporter of the Affordable Care Act. “The hypocrisy of asking for funding from a program while seeking to repeal it, or that the Republicans have been so much more committed to hurting the president than to helping people that something as uncontroversial as funding for community health centers must be requested in secret.”

Yeah, and Ryan LIED BY AN HOUR, ONE-FOURTH OF THE TIME, ABOUT HIS MARATHON RUN!
He never thot "Runner's World" would actually CHECK THE FIGURES....
Since they "don't believe in Fact-checking".
WHAT A LIAR! You'd think even the beer-bellied TV-sports-watching Teabillies would care that a guy BRAGGED ABOUT HIS ATHLETIC SCORE AND LIED!!!

Shouldn't Ryan have stood up for his ideals and declined to support the health center's request for funding? Well, thank goodness for the health of those who will benefit, that the man has no ideals. Or ideas either.

Of course he asked for the funding. Until he has the opportunity to get in there and "fix it" he has to use the system that is already in place. This is what normal people do.
Liberals are a hoot! How about the massive number of people Obama has on food stamps?
Regarding one heartbeat away from the President, Joe Biden in a recent poll was called a "Buffoon." I believe many will not vote for Obama in November because of Joe Biden. Now, he would make one heck of a caricature of a President, wouldn't he? LOL!

One Letter or a few do not substantiate the 2800 plus pages of this massive tax which will NOT help this country one bit!
There are always good intentions laced in these massive govt. controls to entice the people. It is the underlying hidden controls that are the big problems. People who write massive bills in the middle of the night and then force it through and members state: pass it to find what it has are fools.
Romneycare is 76 pages and it was drafted by him and a few others. The good intent and managed healthcare services in the Romneycare package were used to frame this debaucle called Obamacare. But the similarities are far and few between. Obamacare is a monster which will destroy this country! you people are foolish; I bet you don't even read a darn book. you believe everything that is spewed out by this dumb bunch of bureaurocatic fools. yep, they NEVER read, so why should their followers?

Sorry, Arielle, this is not the case with Paul Ryan. He, like other republicans and democrats, must use what they have even though they may not agree with it until there's a time that it can be changed. Qualifying for medicaid changes every year. Do you think people stop applying for medicaid because the rules change? People use what is available.

SL L and Diane O, sorry to burst your bubble but come on, this is the kind of two-faced hypocrisy that the American public is getting sick of from too many politicians, be they Rs or Ds. These guys, all of them, talk out of both sides of their mouths, telling the voters one thing then steering Federal dollars to their local crony campaign donors -- this is a textbook example of how Fed dollars are wasted, they are doled out to states where they are then steered right in to the pockets of the local individuals who then cut every corner possible to make as much profit on the deal as they can. Same with all of the cries from the Right about welfare and Medicaid fraud -- those are Fed dollars "administered" by the States. And how many States cut benefits and put the "savings" straight into their treasuries to fund more local pork. Politicians like Ryan are part of the problem, not the solution.

PB, well, you are halfway right IMO. Many states say "no" to government handouts because they know they can't pay the money back. 26 states have denied ObamaCare ...period....flat out said NO! Why? Because they know it will bankrupt their states.
I believe there are good politicians and I also believe we have great mayors and governors. I believe you are speculating more than you are sharing facts with us. Most red states have a balanced budget and a surplus at the moment. Most blue states are nearly bankrupt.
I believe Romney and Ryan will be part of the solution so we'll just disagree.
