Tragic yet I'm not surprised with the way Bush stacked the courts with all those useless corporate crony friendly POS judges who couldn't judge their *ss from a hole in the ground. These a-holes are a disgrace to the justice system and should be thrown in the slammer, not making laws.

Thanks for signing Marilynn. But the petition that I believe they were referring to in the article was a petition sent out a few months ago asking the government to add more nature preserve for the panthers. I remember it being around here. I sent MY petition to numerous Florida non-profit places who are for the environment and one of them said they would put it up on their website! Then they gave me this article to refer to everyone here! So thats why we have to make sure this petition is reached and NOT rejected. We just cannot let that happen.

The answer is simple: Humans are all consuming and want it all for themselves. We are rapidly approaching the time when there shall be nothing left for just about any animal unless the animal is caged. Zoos too are running out of means to keep the gates open and feed the already captive animals. The only species we are continously breeding are humans leaving less and less space for anything but humans but that too will come to a close in the years to come as humans have no compassion or knowledge how to maintain a healthy natural balance as it requires all species to accomplish such a thing. Humans are per definition not an eco system of any kind. The only thing humans are good at is how to destroy the eco systems and all that belongs within that we still have left. Retribution shall soon become inevitable and nature will reclaim what was once lost. This is simply another form of not if, but when.

Unfortunately no one in power sees to realize that it is the panthers' home also. we are a greedy and selfish species as a rule. I would not have been too sad if yesterday had been the end of the world because this one is not working very well. Maybe a new one could come back without people.
