At the wise age of 51, Shayne is believed to be the world's oldest horse. The liver chestnut-Irish Draught cross lives at the Remus Memorial Horse Sanctuary in Essex, where he enjoys spa-like treatments, daily walks and high-calorie meals.

It's nice to read a story about an animal that isn't being abused or slaughtered. I'm glad Shayne has such a good home! All animals should be so lucky!

Iam sure there would be many more that have their lives cut short on a slaughter house floor or neglected and left life has value beyond measure
Peace and Love

He is so beautiful, may God bless him!
Goes to show you that when an animal is taken care of they can live a long time!

A shame that most horses aren't allowed to live out their natural lifespans :(
