Thank you Dave, if this could be shown to all pet owners maybe the spay/neuter program would be more effective. It should be introduced into school curiculum in the social studies class, showing what happens to family pets who are not wanted.

I did not dare enable audio track, myself — I muted my speakers, and still had to take a break in the middle. But in a way, that was almost worse — imagining what cries rent the air, while the camera rested — slowly, slowly, ever slowly — on the cold steel chamber.

What is eerie is that these shelter staff clearly "turned" — they allowed the camera person to come in close. These are not long telephoto shots. These great, burly workers, who lift 100-pound dogs into the Valley of Death, presented our silent sins before us. Forboding and grim they were, like Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

For every doting couple, who refuses to spay their queen so their puzzled children may "witness the miracle of birth" — (a miracle readily accessible practically 24 hours a day on the Discovery Health Channel) — their hands are stained; Pontius Pilate tried, but could not, rinse the blood from his hands.

I am writing in regard to the Yadik County Animal Shelters barbaric,inhumane methods of eauthanizing animals. Gas chambers are cruel, inhumane and cause the animals severe stress and prolonged suffering.As well as ineffective as there have been reports of animals later regaining consciousness while in freezers or at landfills.
When no other possible alternative exists and an animal must be eauthanized it should be done by the most humane methods and as there are humane alternatives to gas chambers,which reduce the animals suffering as well as the psychological suffering of the shelter workers,it is unconceivable that Yadik County has not abolished the use of gas chambers.
I urge you to immediately use your authority to stop the extreme cruelty and lack of compassion or regard for life that has been allowed to continue in Yadik County for far to long,to do otherwise is to condone the prolonged,torturing demise of innocent creatures as well as the psychological torture of shelter workers.
The public is rapidly becoming aware of Yadik County's uncivilized cruelty and as awareness grows so does public outrage at the fact that there are humane,kinder,effective methods of eauthanization in the sad event that eauthanization is in fact the only choice. Therefore I believe you will find it most beneficial to do what is in the best interest of those animals that must be eauthanized as well as those who must witness or implement eauthanization.
I thank you for your time and have great faith that your heart and conscience will guide you to do what is just and humane and support the immediate abolishment of gas chamber's in Yadik County.

One thing in favor of the guys doing this, I noticed that this seemed to be getting to at least one of them. But those dogs and puppies were all just adorable with such expressions of life to their faces while they still had life. The whole movie was sad, but I believe the worst part for me was how they were all dumped into a garbage truck at the end. Even when people find it necessary to put down their family pets, they usually have them cremated or else bring them home to bury. We've never had to put down a pet, but when they died of natural causes or else met some fate such as getting hit by a car, we always gave them a proper burial. I cast my vote for all shelters becoming no-kill shelters.

After viewing this video, I am horrified! To see the trusting faces of these animals and the brutal way in which they die just turns my stomach. And then to put innocent little puppies on top of larger dead animals is just too much.....I cannot believe this goes on and what kind of person could do this??? What man does to other people is bad enough and sickening-what he does to innocent animals is pathetically sick because animals do nothing at all to deserve the treatment-they aren't even the same species. Why do they offend humans just by existing? Yes, this is a concentration camp for animals and they committed no imagined offense except to live and be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I am sick inside and tear won't stop. I want to make it all right for these poor animals. Why don't we legitimize research into a cheap IUD for dogs we use them yourselves cause is to some extent too many dogs being bred-It is costly to spay and in a country like the USA where one in twelve children go to bed hungry ,one imagines that people are often short of money and accommodation and have to sacrifice beloved pets.

Otherwise why not legitimize the use of pets as meat for humans who are hungry-In China they breed dogs for food must be a few good recipes..

Could also make spaying government subsidized or lobby for it.

It seems that the dogs had no veterinary care. There fur was so matted. Just left in the cages. What killed me the most was the crying of the dogs and then I was shocked when they put the puppies on top. Just horrible. So many dogs. I can't understand why spaying is so much money. They should make it free. Overbreeding and too much killing to keep it under control. It just doesn't make any sense. There are so many cats in my neighborhood and they live in the gardens. Neighbors feed them and provide water.

I could not make it through the video; I was physically sickened. Let us always remember how we reacted to this cruel eyeview of terrible death. Do you realize that there still places where those sentenced to die do so in a gas chamber. I am debating the difference between innocent animals and people accused of horrid crimes. I am saying that if it is cruel and inhumane for one species, then it is cruel and inhumane for another. Gas chambers, electric chair, lethal injection....would we like to see all abandoned animals die by lethal injection--would that be easier to take? Having had to take this route for terminally ill pets who could go no further I have been present. My husband, the vet, and I were nearby speaking soothingly and stroking our pets; then we wept together.

Yes, this particular situation is notable because it is awful and they tried to economize by making even those last moments torturous by overcrowding the animals. I do not know what kind of people can make these decisions. I just cannot imagine the callousness it would take.

I knew I would be unable to watch the video; imagining it is bad enough. Someone said we outlawed the gas chamber for hardened human criminals, because it is inhumane. And what makes it humane to do such to an innocent animal who has done nothing to anyone?? The measure of a nation is how it treats its animals, and yes, I agree, this is just as bad as what is being done to dogs and cats in China, the Phillipines, Korea and other countries. I hope the trusting eyes and wagging tails of the dogs to the end to the horror and slow suffucation will haunt the cameramen, shelter ? workers and each and everyone who watches this to become motivated to do something to stop shelters such as this one and to bring no more unwanted animals into the world and spay and neuter and support no-kill shelters.

I had to force myself to watch this video. It took me 3 days to gather up the courage to even want to read about it!!! I even let my daughters see it (i always get them involved in animal love and care because they are the future of the protection of animals) and they know how to respond to cruelty of animals and to speak up for such cause and not to be ashamed to say what is needed and to get active for the safety of all animals if they see something not right. I am 100% positive that the people involved in torturing and imposing pain and suffering to defenseless animals ... all animals they will get the same treatment in one way or the other, because ho one does these kinds of evil things without paying the consequences.!!!!!!! BAD KARMA DOES'NT GO UNPUNISHED!!!!!! I am sure of that, and lets just say the punishment will double their pain and they dont want me as their judge.! i STILL CANT GET THE IMAGE OF THAT EVIL ARTIST IN SOUTH AMERICA WHO HAD A DOG STARVE TO DEATH AS AN OBJECT OF HIS SADISTIC ART AND THE PICTURES OF THE DYING DOG. That was the most horrific thing I have seen done to an animal or in this case animals. As the video started i began crying knowing what was to happen. Looking at all those dogs and then hearing them cry for their life and slowly hear them silenced and then the puppies. What did they ever do...... At the end throwing them out like yesterdays garbage.......I noticed the guy doing the poison looked like it was getting to him. will be signing.

this was the most sades thing that I have ever seen in my life. animals sould not be treted this way. As just wont to go up to thoes people and thak them to jill I just started to cry as soon as I say what they were doing to the dogs. Thank god I'm becomeing an anmial cop (game worden) so I can help animals around the world. So mabey stuff like this wont happen.
