Consider the lives of "free-range" hens. "Free-range" egg producers generally purchase layer hens from the same hatcheries as traditional egg producers. Half of the chicks born in the hatcheries are males who are "disposed of"

thankyou Live.....very interesting, I used to pay extra for FR eggs, but I was always suspicious. I haven`t bought eggs for months now because I can`t afford the FR and didn`t want to buy the regular. A month ago I decided not to consume eggs or milk, and only have cheese once in a blue moon, and drink soya milk sometimes. This article has reconfirmed my decision, thanks

I say this AGAIN, if you go down the road there will be NO farm animals, why farmers have to make money to keep the animals. So you will be the killers of the animals.

I am a vegetarian and have been for 22 years i have never been "A FASCIST VEGETARIAN" AND NEVER WILL BE. I believe every one has a choice i choose to be a vegetarian. It is not my right to ram my choice down anyone else's throat. I sometimes find some Vegans so high above themselves its unreal. The horrors of the animal product industry are terrible but if we all went vegan today what would we do with the world stock of those animals. Put them in a huge game reserve or would all the vegans take 100 creatures home and feed and care for them for the rest of their lives. By the way i do not agree with fur, animal testing, hunting for amusement, the circus or any other abuse of animals.

You should try reading the article. All it does is provides information and suggests that based on such information, ethical vegetarians, to be consistent with their own beliefs, should go vegan.

I won't even get into how the victims of animal agriculture do NOT have a choice due to the "fascism" of people's choices not to be vegan. If you think being a vegan is difficult, just think how difficult it is on animals that you are not a vegan.

I did read it. I did not say there was anything wrong with th article. What I asked was if you actually read my comment was what is going to happen to all the animals if we all become vegans today. Will we take care of all the worlds meat animals for the rest of their lives. I have heard the arguments for Vegan ism and agree with some of it. I do not agree with forcing your view on another person. Like you just tried to emotionally blackmail me in your last paragraph. I have campaigned for years to make things better for animals you don't have to force your views to change things. Sometimes the louder you shout the less people listen. By the way does a vegan deny their child or wife a drug that has been tested on an animal. My mother has just died from cancer and the drugs she had were all i expect tested on animals. I could of never had denied her those drugs. Could you.? Ooh and just so you know I never comment on a article if I have not read it. So do not assume.
