Procter and Gamble are finished in my view, I do not buy any products that are tested on animals. And include Pringles chips as well! This has been going on for years, you would think they know by now what poisons us. They also induce! cruel gum and teeth problems on dogs and then try to work out if they can fix them. You would think that there are plenty of dogs that are unfortunate to have those sorts of health problems without having to use healthy dogs to make them suffer that way! I mean the vets have plenty of them, why not try to fix and help them. P&G are so big and rich, they think they are above everything and everybody and can do what they like. Well lets show them people power. Please cross post and pass on to your friends. and also send it to all the shops including the pet shops that sell Iams crap. Have a good read on the packet what is in it, definitely has nothing to do with health for a dog, but everything pro their profits!!

This is what a friend just written back to me, and I quote:

When I lived in the upper part of Michigan and was married to my kids father, that's where he worked. And they were testing then. That was 1968-72.

Yhou would think, that by now they would have tested everything and don't need to repeat those useless and cruel experiments anymore.

I have already boycotted P&G for their animal testing and will continue to do so and tell everyone I know. If I can't buy an item not tested on animals, then I make my own out of natural ingredients and if I can't then I go without because after all, people in the past didn't need it, then why do I when it causes so much pain to another living creature. I signed the pledge. Thanks for posting.

Bea, they keep testing the same old thing even though they know the results because incompetent juries award outrageous sums of money for those who bring frivilous lawsuits. The whole system is ridiculous. Greedy producers and greedy consumers who just want a way for an easy buck. Too bad everyone wasn't just fair and honest.

I have boycotted P&G for a very long time. I use Shaklee corporations products which you can learn about here: http://goshaklee.info/en/ using the Password RE20020. No animal testing, very proactive in environmental issues for a very long time. Not a newcomer but advertising is extremely limited. word of mouth promotions. I have personally used these products for over 26 years. Very safe and very very inexpensive to use the Totally green and unheard of concentrated cleaners. Steve

Let me clarify my post-the cleaning products are not unheard of but the concentration levels are not typical. 2 drops of the all purpose cleaner makes a great window cleaner. Lower cost than vinegar and water.

I worked for P&G packing Pampers in the late seventies. The workers had a saying about P&G.It was called the mushroom theory: They keep you in the dark. Feed you sh@t. and watch you grow! HA! I didn't last past my 90 day review.

P&G has been on my personal sh*t list for YEARS~they are evil in my eyes!! MOST of the big companies are involved with animal testing and they also own a lot of the smaller companies. Beware of "this FINISHED product is not tested on animals". Groups like PETA, AAVS, PCRM, HSUS and API have info on their web sites. You can see who does and who doesn't test on animals as well as the all the info you need to write emails, letters and make phone calls. Let them know you will NOT buy while animals DIE!!!!!!

This is my Generic comment,.. it suits almost all articles..
..just substitute a few word's , and it's "GOOD to GO"
..substitute.. wolves,. for .. elephants,..people,.. plants
.. sustitute, land for water,.. wolves with whales,.

.. use your imagination.. :o)

.. they all fit.. really.. think about it..

.. no killing of anything is "required"

..there is no shortage of land, for wolves, .. or anything else.

.. the only shortage of money, is when it is for the good of the planet.

..plenty of money, for the destruction of the earth, and all on it.

.. plenty of "our money" to rebuild foreign countries, after they're

.. destroyed, "with our money"

.. where is all "our money" .. none to rebuild "our country"

.. there is land for wolves,.. there is money for everything.
.. there is land for wolves,.. there is money for everything.
.. there is land for wolves,.. there is money for everything.
.. there is land for wolves,.. there is money for everything.
.. there is land for wolves,.. there is money for everything.
.. there is land for wolves,.. there is money for everything.

.. THERE IS LAND FOR WOLVES,.. THERE IS MONEY FOR EVERYTHING.

.. What I'm trying to say,.. I guess,.. .. IS

... NO LAND,.. NO MONEY...IT REALLY IS JUST A LOAD OF CRAP .....

.. it is just an "all inclusive brainwashing program"

.. "OPEN UP YOUR EYES" .... that's just a song by "Tonic"

.. it's not what you have to do....

Steve, if that stuff is so strong, that you only need 2 drops, it must be very toxic!! don't breath it in!! The toxic fumes can shut down your immune system temporarily and there you have the start of some cancer!! Why not just use plain old water and soap. You don't need to have a super hygienic environment, just a clean one. Here in Australia, they use a lot of hospital grade cleaners. Kids then don't grow up with a strong immune system, the get Allergies, Asthma etc. And don't forget for one minute how that stuff would burn in those little rabbits eyes!!!!!

Bea: Oh my the conspiracy theory again. Nope it ain't toxic at all. Shaklee just doesn't ship water, ok? Hospitals have used Basic-H on newborn infants as it is so gentle and pH balanced like human skin. Hey gang Shaklee is truly different. Why not save the bottles you would use for the hundreds of bottles of vinegar and just use one pint container of H for those 48 gallons of solution for all purpose cleaners? Hey ask the Cousteau Society, check the Oprah site, visit Climate Neutral Network site, and the Green Belt Movement leader the 2004 Nobel Peace Prize recipient and world-renowned environmental activist, Wangari Maathai. How about the Whale Conservation Institute and the Wild Dolphin Project, American Himalayan Foundation and the millions of trees that Shaklee is responsible for planting in America and Africa? Hey if you haven't looked and researched this particular company how can you be so certain that it is just like the rest? Even Pres Bill Clinton had very high praise of the record of Shaklee. 7 years ago we were certified as being cO2 neutral. 100% renewable energy use.

Oh, that is good to know, so it is not made by P&G? I assumed, sorry. I might look at your suggested website and learn about it. There is also another company that sells everything from soap powder to health articles. All are non toxic, you could eat the washing powder, LOL, they are called Newways. The shampoo is fantastic, the hair literally cuddles your head after using it and nothing is tested on animals. Great stuff. Thanks Steve

signed and will boycott, have been reading labels for the last 30 years, all these liars, 40 years ago I used to join demonstrations for loads of causes, and we were ridiculed then, all of the sudden this environmental thing, and lab testing animals, this has been going on for ages, GLOBAL OUTCRY NEEDED, BUT HOW, WHY DOES NOTHING CHANGE, WHAT ARE WE DOING WRONG.
NOT CONSEQUENT ENOUGH?

Signed and pledged. I boycotted P&G years ago for different reasons and later got sloppy. Thanks for reminding me how important it is. Here's why I boycotted them then:
"We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don't want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population. and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members." Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, Eugenics activist and regular speaker at KKK meetings, in a letter to Dr. Clarence Gamble (Proctor and Gamble), 255 Adams Street, Milton, Massachusetts, December 19, 1939. Regarding her 'negro plan'.

Clarence Gamble, president of the American Eugenics Research
Association, replied: "There is a great danger that we will fail because
the Negroes think it a plan for extermination. Hence lets appear to
let the colored run it as we appear to let [the] south do the
conference in Atlanta."

Without writing an entire history and background on eugenics let's just say that this particular philosophy seems to by symptomatic of privileged, wealthy people whose humanity is so utterly lost that, given free reign, they will produce holocausts. (Hitler's program was eugenics and he was a well recognized eugenics 'hero'.) Think Nazi, 'scientific' experiments on 'inferior' humans to produce a better kind of gas, then remember eugenics and then look again Proctor and Gamble and their cold blooded indifference to animal suffering.

I won't get sloppy again.

Here is a great company with fabulous products that have never been tested on animals and is a leader in the environment field: http://goshaklee.info/en/ Password RE20020 Bill Clinton, Dolphin Project, Whale Conservation Institute and a Nobel Peace Prize winner have very nice words about Shaklee's record in the environmental field.
