Only one Congressman had the personal courage and the profound respect for our Constitution to stand on the floor of the House of Representatives and exercise his right and his responsibility to bring Articles of Impeachment

Thanks for posting this, Live!

I am (as you all should be) signing any and all petitions supporting impeachment.

The following comment will be added (which is in direcy response to the boilerplate replies I keep getting from my own representative, Diane Feinstein, who doesn't think this is a "good time" to do it):

In addition to Dennis Kucinich, I am proud of these 7 representatives:

Rep Baldwin, Tammy [WI-2] - 6/18/2008
Rep Farr, Sam [CA-17] - 6/24/2008
Rep Hinchey, Maurice D. [NY-22] - 6/18/2008
Rep Lee, Barbara [CA-9] - 6/11/2008
Rep Towns, Edolphus [NY-10] - 7/8/2008
Rep Wexler, Robert [FL-19] - 6/11/2008
Rep Woolsey, Lynn C. [CA-6] - 6/11/2008

and am extremely disappointed not to see your name among them. Since when is it acceptable for volumes of evidence, supporting 35 acts of criminality to be IGNORED and the suspect permitted to continue in a seat of power and continue with even more acts? Since when did Americans agree that criminal suspects should not be charged with their crimes and tried for them because "the timing is wrong?"

You are supposed to be a representative of the interests of your constituents. I would appreciate your behaving as such!

I think the only thing they hear is, "God told me"
Maybe this needs to also be added to the petition before taken seriously by those waiting for a sign in Govt.

Care is stumbling a lot these days. Stories do not open, or take several minutes, and at time even direct me to a care page not linked.

Pres. Bush has clearly violated the office of president and it is required that the House of Representatives bring about impeachmesnt. Failure of the House to carry out this obligation is a slap in the face of every citizen. And, those representatives that fail to support impeachment should be voted out of office at the first opportunity.

Signed with pleasure! This monster in the whitehouse has to go! He has to pay for all the wrongs he's done to the American Citizens. (Is that why he bought so much land in South America? Is he and the family planning on moving there so they won't be able to incarcerate him?)

Noted with thanks Live :) As an Aussie, I am not eligible to sign the petition to impeach Bush, I wish I could! From what I understand of the changes to your constitution, made by Bush - upheld by Cain and Obama but not Clinton - if America goes to war with Iran, then Bush can postpone the election, at his discretion for as long as he wants.

YAY--We're being heard! Please get everyone you know who agrees to work as hard as they can NOW regarding IMPEACHMENT! The Judiciary Committee IS finally going to at least have a "preliminary" hearing Friday, July 25th at 10AM.

U.S. citizens who wish to hear a more IN-DEPTH impeachment hearing join me in taking the following actions:

1. DO that petition recommended by Live! It's an official email to your Representative via Rep. Dennis Kucinich.

2. Call your Representative. Urge him/her to call for FORMAL hearings in the Judiciary to follow the "preliminary" hearing of July 25. Ask him/her to sign Kucinich's resolutions to impeach Bush (H.Res.1258 and H.Res.1345).

3. Contact every member of the House Judiciary! Even nine Republicans (contrary to the minority leadership's strategy) voted to send Kucinich's latest impeachment proposal, H.Res.1345--which stated that Bush had lied to Congress to get authorization for his invasion of Iraq--to the Judiciary Committee!
The point is to encourage the Judiciary Committee members to take the July 25 "preliminary" hearings seriously (not just a Pelosi ploy to win votes among disenchanted Democratic voters) and to speak up in favor of formal hearings afterwards, preferably beginning within the 2 weeks following the July 25th hearing. Tell them that nothing on their schedule is MORE important (and why, in your opinion, of course). Importantly, ask each member to consider showing their support for one or the other (or both) of Kucinich's resolutions with articles of impeachment by co-sponsoring H.Res.1258 and H.Res.1345.

4. Contact the mainstream media and demand that they start NOW to report on the impeachment issue and that they cover the July 25th hearing! Write a letter to your local newspaper. Email / call national media outlets.

5. SPREAD THE WORD as much as you're willing and humanly able to do... Make sure that at least your fellow Americans have heard about the July 25th hearing to discuss the actions of President George W. Bush; perhaps they'll be interested in contacting their Congress person, etc. Talk with friends and neighbors. Email people you know. Share your opinion on internet blogs and websites that allow comments.

P.S.--IF anyone can be in D.C. next Friday, The Washington Peace Center and The National Impeachment Network are available to help with rallies.

Bush is the worst president in American history. Bush facilitated the 9/11 attacks. Subsequently, Bush lied to Congress and the American people relative to the reasons for invading Iraq. Bush purposefully misled Congress and the American people. Then, Bush murdered more than 4,000 United States service members. And Bush wounded more than 30,000 United States service members. In torturing prisoners of war, Bush patently violated the Geneva Convention. Bush unlawfully wiretapped United States citizens. In using "signing statements" to challenge hundreds of laws passed by Congress, Bush violated the Constitution. Bush has ignored global warming. Bush is guilty of criminal negligence relative to the response to Hurricane Katrina. Bush disobeys our democratic values and Constitution. Bush is a disgrace to the United States.
